  1. Has the feels of Tripps this story. Broke in early autumn and wouldn’t go away. This could happen
  2. I’m on holiday in the Algarve right now but I’d literally have paid thousands of pounds to come back and attend that event!! Gutted I’ve missed the coming together of my 2 heroes!! So glad they’ve connected though and will go to sleep dreaming of them talking tactics and Kev spurring Eddie on to greater heights. Kev’s such a motivator, can you imagine what results Eddie’s gonna pick up now after a Keegan-boost? Dortmund are royally screwed!
  3. He should be made to coach and train with the ladies team. They’re employed by the same company and would benefit from his experience. He should do his uefa B badge whilst he’s at it. Could be on a course with Ritchie and Tripps, keep his contact with the team, alleviate his boredom and upskill himself for the future.

    Jacob Murphy

He’s already taken us to the next level. Twice. Championship to low level Prem team. Low level Prem team to champions league team. He can go to the next level: champions league team to title challenger. In 6 months we’ll probably look back and say he’s already done that

    Fabian Schär

Only no-one! He’s by far the best footballing centre back in the league. Stones prays to develop the mid-to long range passing game Schar has, then he may be close to Schar’s level
  6. Trippier’s too good. He’s completed football. In fairness to all other players he should take up a new sport like Paddle or Modern Pentathlon.
  7. The most beautiful positive life-affirming video you could hope to see. Absolutely lush!!
  8. Looking at their playing styles, Hall seems like he’ll be the long term successor to Tripps in terms of being an excellent passing chance-creation fullback. Tino looks like he’ll dribble and put crosses in, but Hall’s got the first-time passing and touch that Tripps has. I hi I Tino gives us what Burn isnt, just on the other side of the pitch
  9. Why is Nick Pope’s second half average position stationed underneath Lascelles?
  10. Can hear *Ando telling *Schar to shoot just before Wilson’s goal on this. Sounds like he was sat close to the Sheffield U commentary team. Must have been hell for them lot listening to Ando’s sick cackle!

    Anthony Gordon

But but but, St Maxi’s xG and xA shows he’s a nob, so Gordon-Barnes must be better for us (I totally agree with you btw - stats don’t show Maxi’s value. Perhaps opposition average position maps when they play is with Maxi would - defenders almost definitely deeper and midfield pulled apart as someone’s got to double up)
  13. The distances and shape between our midfield 3 and defence is just way off. Our only patterns of play for building out from the back are round the sides to the full backs then down the line old school channel ball, or into Bruno as a lonely DM with no-one else near him. We've got to be way better playing out. Sandro and Joelinton have to offer for the ball more and support Bruno to build out. I feel Howe's got to find a new balance to the team personnel or setup in midfield as this one isn't doing it at all.
  14. Can’t wait for Eddie’s press conference later. Bet he’s buzzing about getting stuck into these lot!
  15. No idea who 98% of the players are. What heady times we’re in though!! Fantasy Champs Leeg well I never knew that existed!!
  16. Just when I felt like I couldn’t feel any more sick this week!!! https://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2023/08/29/alan-pardew-tells-eddie-howe-exactly-where-he-went-wrong-after-newcastle-1-2-liverpool/
  17. I want that pass analysed like Hawkeye does with cricket deliveries. Give me the rate of spin on the ball, the degrees of curve on the air, then the deviation off the seam on bouncing on the floor. Show me the trajectory of that pass with no spin travelling straight on, how it’s likely have ended up as a tame back pass to their goalkeeper. Some nerd somewhere must be needing suitable subject matter for their Masters or PhD project!!

    Lewis Hall

The NUFC interviewer must get paid for the amount of times he can get a footballer to say "like i just said." Every interview he does he ignores the answer just given, and then asks a question that will elicit the very same answer. Interviewer question 1: [can't be bothered to type it] Lewis Hall: "the transition phase Newcastle's going through is a big reason for me wanting to join." Interviewer: "what are the main reasons for making this move now?" Lewis Hall: "a few reasons, like i said, the transition phase we're going through right now. Like I said before..." It's just disgusting to listen to.

To be fair, in the years when he was growing up, we didn't actually play football, we merely participated in it
  20. Stop being so worried about what everyone else thinks of newcastle fans and just get on with being a fan. I’m 31 years deep as a Newcastle fan, having grown up in cardiff and adopted the club as a youngster. I’m in Bristol now having lived in London. But I love absolutely love my trips to Newcastle, to matches, and would kill to be from the area with local stories to tell. When I come up from down south I’ll happily embrace the Black Garter and any other recommendations locals have for me, and all my mates from back in Bristol and London will hear I’ve had a class time with the passionate Geordie fans. We do us, and the rest of the nation can get to funk! HTL!
  21. I fancy us to win this. Then the media won’t give us the credit we deserve cause of City’s injuries and playing in midweek. But I’m expecting a 3-2 win. We hold on for last 25 minutes, always a threat on the counter with Barnes missing a great chance to put us 4-2 up.
  22. Thank you for posting this. That was our best knee slide of the season at the end there!
