  1. Makes sense. He knows the area up here now so he’ll be able to find better places to spy on ‘boro without getting caught.
  2. Ask a black british male I must agree. It's comments like theirs that undo all my hard work in trying to improve diversity and inclusion by helping my white male comrades to be included and fully valued in society.
  3. The real beauty of this is, whatever the risk for Iraola, there’s a greater risk for Isak’s groin training 7 days week and pressing man for man in games! He’ll blow out by Christmas!
  4. No I mean targetting better players. Botman and Bruno were better players. But their circumstances also meant they saw us as a step up. Why can’t we target better players that see us as the fulfilment of a dream? Dean Huijsen before Bournemouth, a better player who’d have been desperate to join us. That’s just one example. Many African players jump at the chance of going to the EPL. I don’t know if the problem is lack of scouting, or Eddie’s lack of trust in our scouting of foreign-based profiles, or his suspicion it’ll take too long to integrate those players, or lack of belief in the growth potential of championship players (Bowen, Eze, Olise, Scott all players that did well in championship and made the step up). We should prioritise good players for whom we can compete. Anyway, I’d like every signing be hungry as funk to sign!
  5. I only want us to target players who are desperate to come here. Players like Botman was when he was following our players’ Instagram accounts from his old club. Players for whom we’re a step up, like Bruno who got dolled up in suit and make-up he was so happy to sign for us. Targetting Mbuemo, Pedro, Ekitike etc was a mistake.

    I thought that was Mandy?

    St James' Park

Helped us get money for Almiron sale. So a net win overall
  8. This will be my first time taking my 10 year old boy to a Newcastle game. We live in Bristol. He supports us because of me. He had joy at Carabao last year, then heartache last summer when we lost the *Traitor to our cousin’s team. There’s so much pressure on young kids to choose Liverpool, Man City or Arsenal. But he’s stuck with the Toon because I tell him the fans are the best in the country. Loyal, supportive, reasonable and not expectant like fans of those other teams. I appreciate the season hasn’t been the best but bloody hell guys don’t let us down! Support Eddie and the boys and play your part in the next generation learning what true loyalty and support is!
  9. Can only judge him after he’s had a whole pre-season with a “big” club
  10. Proper marathon this! (for the oldies!)
  11. Said Jonathan Ross. Hopefully Howe can boost our performance with EPL and overseas players

    Growing Pains

These next 7 games are basically a pre-season for Eddie to start moving towards a more sustainable style with the players we have. I want to see progress in possession and an effective and clear attacking identity.
  13. The cowardly colour of surrender!
  14. Swap Anita in for Faye

    Yoane Wissa

I was referring to one particular poster saying from Wissa’a stretch and ore-match warmup you can tell he’s lazy. A pre-match warm up does not need to be standard, it just needs to get the individual player ready to perform. If someone has seen Wissa get an injury at the start of a match as he was cold and underprepared then it may be a valid criticism. But as far as I can see it’s just lazy stereotypical b***ocks! I’ve been on this site through the careers of all players on your list. I won’t debate them in detail. I’ll just say that they generally fall into the “mavericks” camp and so apparent laziness was regarded as a ‘feature’ on here, or the “mercenary c***” camp so their lack of work rate was a sign of their disloyalty or lack of ability and why they should be hated. edit- discounting Waddle and Brock, as the site didn’t exist. Neither did the ‘net

    Yoane Wissa

The amount of black footballers that get labelled ‘lazy’ on here is amazing! And only Jonjo Shelvey of other ethnicities attracts the same label. How can a stretch be performed lazily? Proper Nonsense!
  17. Bobbins! Please swap him for Anderson in the summer

    Lewis Hall

I hate to sound all 2013, but whoosh!
  19. Still can’t believe he wasn’t related to our former coach Antia. Hopefully now he’s retired the Who Do You Think You Are team can get Big Vurn on there and finally clear that up for us
  20. Please don’t tel me I’m crazy but I feel we’ve got a chance to win this
  21. Gotta be hard for Fabi seeing a 19yo come in and steal his Champions League minutes, even if Miley is a local lad!
