i think city fans will disagree, especially last season, which pretty much puts your 'good game for years' comment to bed. routledge did ok against chelsea by all accounts (didnt see the game as i was away), but has produced absoloutely fuck all prior to that. i'll agree to disagree though, as i do take the point of massive wages and i can see the point that it may well smell of a duff type signing (i.e someone on the decline who does nowt for us).

SWP IS f***ing ABYSMAL. It would make me vomit seeing him in an NUFC shirt. he's an imporvement on what we have. Doesn't always make it a good signing, if we bought someone like Wright Phillips it would be a short term signing imo. I think the only time I'd consider signing someone like that if we were in the s*** come january and needed a few players to give us a boost, but we won't be in that situation. I think once we get to the start of next season we can be looking at players who are improving not going the other way. fair point.
