Does our current chairman guarantee us permanent CL football? No club has qualified for Europe in the past decade through the back door more than us, fact.

I hate to state the obvious but http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/4286/boarmw3.jpg

More a reflection on those who voted.

At least we now know the reason for the crap penalty, we train for the wrong sport.
-
It looks like it's going to drag on once again, we'll never learn.

maybe you should write to them and keep them right ? already did, they sent it back saying thanks for the imput but we have championship...uhh i mean premiership level coaches, scouts, negotiator, and boards memebers, and that my imput was not needed for this club to be heading in the proper direction :rolllrg:

He'll be OK if he does, you'll pat his back. bluebiggrin.gif

Thats what I did, but it took me ages to transfer everyones votes onto the spreadsheet. Copy & Paste works in Excel. bluebiggrin.gif

At the speed you count? Not the best idea you've ever had.

Seconded.

I would guess that they don't know it's real name, probably due to people referring to it as Going Home, the theme from Local Hero, the Local Hero sticks.

I'm sure Duff can also play up front. Duff can play full stop?

I'll tell you what Mr Hypocrisy, I'll not talk about the game that I didn't attend when you do the same. Yes our defenders will be back, so will our forwards unless you know differently and our returning forwards will be better than our returning defenders. Where have I said we should go through the season with only 1 striker? Talk about games I don't go to ? Who is contradicting someone who was at the game. Just like you do pre-1992 as well ... Our strikers will not be back until the end of the season if that, you tell us when our defenders will be back, and also tell us if we have replaced Shearer and Bellamy yet ? We have 1 striker - that is 1 - ie ONE - to play the season, if he isn't injured. And YOU say we need defenders  but that is you just following everyone else as usual because you are clueless and don't have a mind of your own, despite your apparent age. Against Everton we had 0 fullbacks, that's NONE.

I've spent ages looking through far too many search results and have given up, I did find a couple of Roeder quotes about defenders, none mentioned that he was happy. Glenn Roeder quotes: September 2006 "Because we're so thin on the ground in defensive positions we can't afford for defenders to be injured." August 2006 "There were times last year when we defended poorly and if there is the opportunity to bring in someone who I think could strengthen our defence, and I'm allowed to do it, I will.
-
link ? It was talked about on here plenty at the time so you find it for yourself.
-
Before the last transfer window Roeder said he wanted defenders, within days Shepherd said we wanted forwards. That was before Owen became injured in the WC which did change things but the fact is that the manager highlighted the defence and the chairman highlighted the forwards.

I'd go for somebody with experience rather than another kid who is only here to get games under his belt before returning to his club. Beattie might not work but I wouldn't mind finding out, he's not prolific but he's got a hell of a shot on him and does a lot for the team, others would benefit from his running and hassling.
-
If we could get Beattie on loan then I'd take him like a shot, we could look as him to see how he fits in then make a decision on him in the summer once everybody was fit.

Some useless information about how we've spent our money since Dalglish took over, most of the figures are from nufc.com, the formatting is shite but better than nothing. Bobbys quotes: "This press conference is not about JJ, we missed three penalties, not one. I never really complain about penalties... I always have a bit of sympathy for the players who have to take them. I just felt in his case it was an outrageous way to try and take a penalty. He's young and for some reason he's gone against all his education, all his practice to do something different and he has come unstuck because of that. He's a young player and he has to learn from being unprofessional in that sense. I've never seen him do that. If I knew he was going to take the penalty like that, he would have been last."
-
Was that penalty worse than the one Jenas took in that Asia Cup when Sir Bobby went mad with him.
