  1. He was much better than Duff and he wouldn't have put the ball in his own net against Villa.
  2. I'm glad he's gone we've done much better without him.
  3. Actions speak louder than words, talking about it seems to come easy to Barton. As for him not drinking, big deal, if he had more self control he wouldn't have to stop. As for the other stuff that he hasn't done, somebody else being a prick is no reflection on Barton.
  4. He's come out with this shit before and it didn't change him then, why should he be given any slack? He said the same after signing for us then went out on the piss in Liverpool and ended up doing time for it. He's a nutter and has no right to preach to others.
  5. More hollow words from a hollow man.

    Peter Beardsley

The best I could do was Beardsley next to Gillespie who was wearing it. http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/3626/f0f9bcf5950eaa7de9fd0ad.jpg
  7. If we've still got Ashley in the summer then we'll still have Hughton. Hughton will be gone within 10 games of the new season if we go up, no matter who owns the club and then it will be welcome to last season as they start panicking and getting every decision wrong again.
  8. I think this answers your question. Hughton says: “It’s no secret that we want to replace what we’ve had, which is a centre-forward and a centre-half. “The two players – Zurab and Marlon – have gone back, and we have to make decisions on those two, and look at the options we have. “At this moment, we’re still making decisions, and weighing up the options we have, and nothing’s been finalised yet.”

    Could we survive?

No way, we're not good enough up front and our midfield looks like we're playing in slow motion.
  10. How long does it take to make a judgement?
  11. I didn't think he played well but his set pieces were our best chance of getting a goal and taking him off was puzzling.
  12. I don't see him as the inspirational type, he reminds me of Roeder. Shearer came in last year and slated our fitness; I think we have that same problem now so it’s not just Hughton sending them to sleep.
  13. I don't think the long ball is the best route for him as he rarely diverts the ball back to one of his team mates. We do use that and I don't think it does him any favours.
  14. Carroll has had plenty of chance to prove he can score, he's had more starts than any other forward this season and he's scored 4 goals. Ranger has had 1 full game and the most he's played at one time is 109 minutes when he came on against Place and then started against Leicester, he's not getting a chance to prove what he can do. It seems like with Guthrie it's easier to piss the kids about rather than upset the more experienced players. I see more in Ranger than I see in any forward we've played this season yet he's had the least time on the pitch out of them all.
  15. Sorry but I agree with the original post, I think LuaLua would do a very good job in this carthorse of a team in this division and he's hardly had any time on the pitch. Hughton picks senior players ahead of kids and doesn't seem to have the balls to drop certain players unless he has to.
  16. You should post more and I've only read your first two lines.
  17. No, he would have made no difference because I don't think he would have been in any better positions than the forwards we played. And I don't think he would have done any better if he had got on the end of any chance a forward had.
  18. Harewood wouldn't have made any difference today, the same as he made no difference against Sheff Wed.
  19. We need to get guthrie on for nolan and get carroll off for shola or ranger. Good save by the pub keeper.
