Nobody can accuse Ashley and Mort of sitting around and reacting, I don't know how this will turn out but it looks good if Keegan agrees to it and doesn't lose any of his power, its good to see something pro-active being done.
They wanted to give Allardyce some time to see if he could turn things around, which he couldn't. Getting rid now gives the new manager (Keegan) time to see what he can do with the players and make a decision on who to keep and who to let go in the summer.
Keegan spending in this window doesn't make sense as he hasn't had time to look at what he's got when it comes to playing his style of football. I think he'll get between £30 million and £60 million in the summer and it will be better spent than twice that amount would be now.
I wouldn't be surprised if Woodgate had failed a medical with us, things have changed so much over the last couple of days and what has come from his father doesn't add up.
Does anybody remember when John Salako failed a medical here?
