you are very optimistic about those games but reality is different ,imho we will struggle till the end of the season unless the players believe in themselves and keegan turns them around .

yes beaten twice by arsenal and a point off lowly bolton without a shot on target in 270 mins of football without a single goal :pottytrain5: You must of missed the Smith goal line clearence. You can make anything sound bad when you ignore/make things up. make things up you have to be fookin joking ,harsh reality is we were practically non existent as a attacking force leaving two goalkeepers practically in a coma for 270 mins or tell you what nitpick some more but to defend them is pathetic ,they are on huge salarys to do a job and to hardly trouble the keepers is not acceptable .worse teams than us will have more efforts than us if you look at the stats for teams below us ,heres a small selection of stats . arse vs toon 1 save non conceded arse vs birmingham 2 saves 1 conceded arse vs boro 3 saves 2 conceded arse vs wigan 1 save 0 conceded arse vs reading 2 saves 1 conceded arse vs mackams 4 saves 2 conceded I do not pretend to me a stat expert but the cold facts are there to see as examples and it boils my piss when people defend this .SO TELL ME WHERE AM I MAKING THIS UP ITS STRAIGHT OFF THE www.premierleague.com website

Keegans already said that he was made fully aware of the intentions and he was given a list of names, one of which was Wise, before he took the job. Would be inclined to believe Kev rather than that cockney ****. bent cockney twat thanks

fookin hell leave it till the last minute and its too late then more than likely loose him in the summer well done mort . sorry getting angry now shit timing

Like what? Have you seen him play bonny lad cos i have twice against the mackems last season and against us and he was the best player on the pitch on both occasions (second half sub against mackems and changed the game and scored a goal beardsley would have been proud of ).other times i have seen him he has stood out and its all about opinions so whats yours son . Seen him this season against Derby. All I want to know is what he can do that our players can only dream about - simple. Quit it with the 'bonny lad' and 'son' malarkey as well. the goal against the mackems last season ,none of our players have the ability to do that imho . sorry about the bonny lad etc

Keegans dropped his first clanger imho, i started this thread way back when and i dont pretend to be a talent scout far from it but this kid can do things which our players could not even dream about and has the making of a top class player .VERY ANGRY ATM if we loose out he will be better than Dyer ,Bellamy etc imho.
-
Imho Giles Barnes is going to be one hell of a player and even at 4.5 million or whatever price as i think he will get snapped up by someone else and we will regret it .
-
Wish he could have visited them before the fookin match instead of after when it was too late the little Argy t*** ,only joking a true football legend and i hope he is better know after his troubles

A bit down atm after the weekend but was hoping for one signing at least but not for the sake of it as things go this is a time for king kev to draw up battle plans for the summer targets and hopefully spot some potential in the Euros or any players on the way down with there respective clubs with Giles Barnes from Derby as an example.

buy – Butt Jan 28 2008 by Stuart Rayner, The Journal NICKY Butt has warned Newcastle United they cannot skimp on quality during the January sales after apparently missing out on Jonathan Woodgate. With his manager resigned to losing the Middlesbrough star to Tottenham Hotspur, Butt is anxious to see reinforcements arrive before Thursday’s midnight transfer deadline – but only if they are players who can improve the Magpies’ starting XI. Woodgate is reported to have passed a medical in north London yesterday and a three-and-a-half-year contract is expected to be signed imminently. Saturday’s 3-0 FA Cup defeat at Arsenal left Newcastle with their season effectively over before their second trip to the home of the Gunners in four days, for tomorrow’s league clash. On hearing the news that 28-year-old Woodgate is bound for White Hart Late, Butt did little to hide his frustration. “It’s disappointing a player like Jonathan does not look like he is coming, but I’m sure the manager has plans in place just in case that happened,” said the midfielder, whose 88th-minute own goal rounded off a miserable afternoon on Saturday. “He will have all the staff working on it and there are meetings all the time about who is being targeted. If Jonathan doesn’t want to come that is up to him. It’s a tight schedule for Kevin to get the deals done because he arrived late. But I’m sure he will be working hard on getting players.” The ex-Manchester United player (pictured right) knows Keegan cannot resort to panic buys, however. “It’s no good getting players in who are no good to get into the team, we need players who can play week in and week out,” he warned. Despite inspiring the Magpies to arguably their best performance of the season when watching from the St James’s Park stands against Stoke City, Keegan has failed to win either of his first two games in charge. The other was a 0-0 draw with Bolton Wanderers. Butt felt the team’s approach was partly to blame for defeat on Saturday. “We started well and had a couple of chances but then we lost all of our shape and collapsed, basically,” he explained. “We were too cavalier and that’s impossible to do when you are at the Emirates. We paid the price in the end. It’s frustrating we have not had the results to start right under the new manager, but we are all still laughing and joking in training. “The manager has brought belief back into the team. You have to remember that you can come to Arsenal at any stage and struggle. We did look okay but then after the third goal went in we all went to bits and Arsenal showed what a good team they are. “The manager has been very chatty, very bubbly around the place. He speaks to you individually and tells you what he expects of you. It’s disappointing at the moment because of the results we have had but we are all feeling very positive.” Keegan retains an interest in Sevilla target Pascal Chimbonda and is understood to be monitoring Derby County midfielder Giles Barnes, but the prospect of no senior players moving to Tyneside this month is growing. “It won’t be the end of the world if I get nobody,” said Keegan after the Arsenal game. “I think we’ve lost Woodgate, I would be delighted if I was wrong and I don’t think it’s set in stone yet but that’s my honest opinion. I would have been quite happy just to have him in this transfer window, that would have been enough for me. “Spurs can offer the chance to play in a cup final, they’re definitely in Europe this year and they’re definitely in Europe next year because they’re playing Chelsea in the Carling Cup final. They can offer him that, which we can’t – unless we get a ferry!” Sensible view by Butt i think but it shows the frustration the players must be feeling as well as we are As far as chimbonda is concerned no thanks ,Barnes would be a great signing bags of skill and will be class imho.

Think we'll make a last minute, take it or leave it bid for him. £8 mill tops. If Woodgate signs for Spurs, Downing wont ...... lets have Downing please

But his team no longer surrender leads like the chain-smoking Argentinian used to toss away fag butts. A team full of pace, purpose and a remarkable level of fitness. A team which can not only beat Arsenal but roundly humiliate their north London rivals. from that spuds wankfest in The People .must have spoke too soon considering they blew that lead today ,and while we are on about it Talksport is turning into a tank of sillage as every day passes with that fookin cricketer Ronnie "i know everything about football" Irani sputtering utter s**** about the Arsenal players fighting on the pitch with each other and saying it was Gallas and he was corrected by the guy who does the phone in which is not football related .
-
who cares not me if thats his attitude lets find someone who wants to play for us and win things
-
Just about everytime i have seen him play he stands out as a exceptional talent and worth adding to a squad devoid of anyone who can create a bit of magic like he can .
-
Overrated because of who his father is. Digger Barnes from Dallas
-
IF we miss out did we try that hard to get him ,so what still a doubt to his long term fitness and plenty more fish in the sea
-

once kk gets in the players to provide the service to little mickey we will see the best of him ,yesterday for me we had a midfield not clever enough to provide a killer pass .along way to go until the players get in to a new managers pattern of play to suit the players at his disposal ,not panicing atm.
