They have already been heavily linked with Saint Etienne’s Bafetimbi Gomis, while Paris-Saint Germain striker Amara Diane revealed yesterday that he would like to move to United. Keegan, Terry McDermott and executive director (football) Dennis Wise were all in Paris last weekend to watch PSG take on St Etienne and Diane claimed that there have been talks about his possible transfer between the clubs in the last few days. He said: “Kevin Keegan is a dream coach, his team always plays offensive football and playing in England would be a great opportunity. “I know there is some contact between the two clubs and if an agreement is reached, I will go to Newcastle. To play with Michael Owen would be great and there is also Obafemi Martins who is a top striker. “The Premier League is attractive and some of my Ivorian friends are there, so I would be in good company.” Looks like there has been a move for him then, dont know anything about him to comment on him though so will leave it to others .

may i just add if there had been any chance of England joining the proposed Scots/Irish/Welsh home internationals revamp that they had been talking about i think that has now gone up in smoke ,the F.A would not touch it with a bargepole.

Love these daily transfer rumours in the close season coming from the gutter press ,a manager says something in a press conference and the press go in to fantasy mode , we will just have to put up with it for now like we always do but it pisses you off reading such utter shite .

I honestly don't see what he's done to warrant anything close to a bollocking. This has been fueled by the press, end of story. I'd put money on it hardly being mentioned at the meeting tbh. What he's done is given the press a reason to go after the club again. When there was absolutely no reason to do so. If I was his boss I would bloody have a word and tell him to mind what he says, but at the same time I would try to draw a line under it and paint a happy picture to the outside world. At the end of the day this should have been an internal affair, KK should have held his tongue. If Kev feels he's not getting sufficient backing or has issue with the structure of the club, then airing those concerns a negative press is not the best way to go about it. Thanks for the back up ,why on earth call your manager down to London to tell him how much cash he has got when he could have told him on monday or in a phone call there is more too this than the above and you must be blinkered not to know it ffs

Imho we will get a Mort statement saying everything in the garden is rosy Keegan and co went down to put there plan in place for next season so not to give the gutter press any more fuel.We all know that this is probably far from the truth and Keegans got a bollicking for his comments and told in no uncertain terms to be a bit more carefull with his views in future .This is all my thoughts on the matter as i havent a clue what goes on in the corridors of power like many others .

Toon pair will leave the club May 6 2008 by Alan Oliver, Evening Chronicle REPUBLIC of Ireland international Stephen Carr will leave St James’s Park at the end of the season. And so too will local boy Peter Ramage and young Aussie James Troisi. This was revealed to the Chronicle today by Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan in between the furore as to whether he will be given enough money to find replacements next season. All three players are out of contract and, while Ramage was given the chance to stay, which he turned down, neither Carr nor Troisi were offered new deals. Keegan told me: “Peter Ramage is going to go, and so is Stephen Carr. They’re both going, and they know that. “We wanted to keep Rammy, but he wants to play regular football, and I couldn’t guarantee him that here. “He goes with our best wishes, as does Stephen Carr, who’s been a great pro for this club. He wasn’t offered a contract, and I explained the reasons why. “James Troisi’s also gone. He has gone to play for Australia in the Olympics, but he has not been offered a contract.” Carr has made 107 appearances and scored one goal for Newcastle – at Southampton – since his move from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2004, and he could have the chance to stay in the Premier League with both Everton and West Ham. There will be no tears shed by the United faithful at the departure of Carr, but it’s always sad when the Magpies lose a Geordie like Ramage. The 24-year-old defender’s chances of establishing himself this season disappeared when he badly damaged his cruciate ligaments in the derby with Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium in August. And there will be no shortage of clubs who will want to take Ramage, especially in the Championship, with Wolves’ boss Mick McCarthy leading the way. Carr too yipee

Hope manure lose at the weekend and just when Chelski think they can still win the title we come along and spoil there party. This game may finally show the country we are back and make a few players say "mmm they are heading in the right direction lets jump onboard" or lose and go out in a whimper but i guess it will not mean that much of a difference on the bigger picture really than send us home happy .
