  1. Well good riddance if thats your attitude ,ffs sit down away from your keyboard and think about what you are saying ive been watching from the early 70's and believe it i and many others have watched some shit over the years but stick with our team through thick and thin because it is our club.
  2. Feel a bit more optimistic about this game but then again as everyone knows the Toon kick you in the balls when you feel positive ,heart says 2-1 to us head says 2-1 to them .
  3. no need for that ,i like Morrissey but his new single is s*** its all about opinions It's not about opinions, it's about the truth and you don't win 5 league titles at Lyon as captain and look comfortable in the prem after a short period of time if you're bad. Mediocre maybe but certainly not bad. Harry reckons cacapas bad his opinion ,didnt think he deserved the fookin muppet comment thats all .
  4. Yes they were a few times and picking on Gerrard above others maybe its the N/S divide thing and totally uncalled for imho (possibly Chelski fans and the captaincy thing at a long shot ).
  5. Maybe we could change this threads name to " Newcastles Michael Owen " as he seems to be shall we say not automatic first choice or am i jumping the gun

    Emre

yse wtih you al the wey
  8. Yes we should all prove we have a proof of ownership of a season ticket and be allowed access with a password into a locked area where from the outside all the plastic fans can wonder whats inside
  9. everton villa city and pompey have done it. you just need to spend smart, thats all. Yes i know where your coming from so will KK spend smart only time will tell.
  10. If we get a player of the quality of Nobby i will be more than happy and as for Parker well dont miss him so i hope Barton comes good .
  11. one hit wonders tbh ne wonder i forgot or is that senile dementia at 44
  12. After today, I once again have hope in Barton. He looked a bit s*** when he came back from his injury, but now he really looks up for it. Might be a bit too slow, but he showed some great vision and touches. His pass for Viduka late on today was class, as was the run and pass to Owens mishit. Agree he looked better the longer the game went on and he give the ball away a couple of time but hey who didnt .Emre was shit again imho and he will not be the playmaker we desperatly need so roll on the summer and KK can get his wad of cash out and hopefully find one .OOPS forgot this thread was about wor Nicky :-[ he was pants today and seems to be suffering like a few others .
  13. Silliest post of the year by some distance. The booing was very very minimal. its not just about today, said that three times now, silly post. its about a growing concern that i've had about our fans all season, and i'm not the only one. Best bet is get a ipod and everytime people start booing is wack you earphones in and listen to "Things can only get better" by Ddream then you can blank it all out .seriously though the confidence of the players is shot atm and booing does not help i heard nowt myself but you heard it but thats human nature for you .
  14. My only worry after the interview is kev said he will spend the money in the summer on transfer targets , Woodgate was always going to join spuds because of europe etc so where does that leave us and building a top class team with nothing to realistically offer anyone .You could say Europe but kev said premiership players he was after (could be wrong on that) and that rules out a lot of players who are going to be with there clubs in Euro competitions .
  15. Will make judgements next xmas ,half way through a season when players have had time to settle etc . His appointment is a big risk but atm he is right for us in our situation .
  16. What would you consider more important, creating chances or shots on target? Shots on target obviously ,thats where the goals come in to it
  17. My main argument in this whole issue is the fact we are not hitting the target and that worries me and that is why we are struggling and teams below us are scoring goals and creating more chances than we are .The teams below may be getting beat but they can creap up on us if our form continues .
  18. Well i got that stat off the http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/fixture.mc?id=276&event=24 and it states one save there keeper had to make .I used that site as an example and have read match reports and that is the only one i could find of a effort on target as Butts free kick hit the bar which i do not consider on target .
  19. f****** hell FOR FUCKS SAKE I AM ASKING YOU WHAT POINT YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE

    Saturday or Sunday?

I think saturday, few pints in the 3 Bulls after match get home have pizza with the wife and kids then send the wife to bed later and watch MOTD and watch a DVD (horror or action that the wife wont like).Thats how i like to spend my saturdays for home games .
  21. f*** a duck, talk about pointing words in my mouth. I've never said the trouble isn't there (or anything about relegation for that matter), my point is that when you make s*** up like saying we haven't had a single shot on target in the last 270 minutes of football you can make any situation seem a whole lot worse than it actually is. Like someone else said, we're more likely to stay up than go down (a whole lot more) and I can only see us going down if A) We play incredibly s*** in all remaning games B) The teams below us have some sort of phoenix like return and start playing like Brazil and C) If we get f***** over luck wise. Oh sorry one shot on target in 270 mins my apologies lets pick up on on glowing error on my match stats and make a running comment on it .Its hardly something to be proud of to pick up on this and ignore the fact that we have relegation form and a string of difficult games coming up and a loss tomorrow and a couple of results going against us will put the pressure on a already demoralised squad . Are you that much of an idiot? The Smith shot is an example, christ Example of what exactly

    Emre

Emre out to repay Keegan’s support Feb 2 2008 by Luke Edwards, The Journal EMRE is aiming to justify Kevin Keegan’s glittering praise of his ability when he returns to the Newcastle side against Middlesbrough tomorrow. Emre celebrates after scoring against Reading The Turkey international struggled to convince former manager Sam Allardyce he deserved a regular spot in the starting XI, but that will quickly change under Keegan who said the presence of the former Inter Milan star was a major plus point for him. It looks as though Emre – who returns from a three-game suspension tomorrow following his sending-off in the FA Cup against Stoke City – will be given a vital role to play in Keegan’s new-look side after he revealed how excited he is about the new manager’s plans. Had Allardyce not been replaced as manager last month, Emre may well have been sacrificed to raise transfer funds, but Keegan is adamant he would have made the signing of a player of Emre’s style his first priority if he did not already have the 27-year-old at his disposal. “He offers us another option that none of the other players can quite offer us,” said Keegan. “He’s different to anything else we’ve got and you need players like that around. I’ve always had them at my club and, if I haven’t had them, I’ve always gone and bought one or two. You can go back to Scott Sellars or Peter Beardsley, or Eyal Berkovic at Manchester City. “The fact we’ve already got a player like that here is a plus for me. I’ve always believed there is a place in a team, at least one, for a creative player. I’ve always managed to accommodate one, even though some people say you can’t. “With that type of player, you don’t get 10 out 10 in every thing you want. But you don’t get that from players who give you 100% energy in everything they do. Some managers have teams full of those, but I think there is a place in the team for a player like Emre. A player who can unlock a door when games are really tight. I think we’ve missed that.” Keegan also admitted he had tried to sign Emre for Manchester City when he was at Inter Milan and such a glowing endorsement is bound to give the Turk an extra spring in his step against Boro. “I was becoming frustrated this season because, although Sam Allardyce said nice things about me, I wasn’t playing,” said Emre, who has only started seven games this season. “I wasn’t playing regularly and I couldn’t show my best when I was playing one game and then going back on the bench. I was happy with Sam sometimes, I believe he’s a good man, but I need to play more to find the consistency he wanted. I hardly played in three months. “He had other options in midfield and he preferred to pick them. I accepted it because I was a professional, but it was hard. I never wanted to leave Newcastle because I’m happy, I like the people here, I just wanted to play more. “I worked very hard for my shirt and I wanted to be on the pitch every game. Maybe my style of football did not suit the old manager as much, he had other choices. I think that will change now.” And it did not take long for Keegan’s infectious enthusiasm to seize Emre as he described his first meeting with the new manager. He said: “I’m very happy with the new manager and the dressing room is very happy. Everybody believes in Kevin Keegan and we look forward to playing for him. We know he is a big legend for everyone in English football, but especially in Newcastle. “The first time I saw his face I could understand everything people said about him. The first time I talked to him, I knew he was a manager I would like playing for. He’s spoken with every player and he has given us all belief, but we need to start winning games again to show that. “I’ve played for five years at Galatasaray and for five years at Inter Milan, and I know what sort of atmosphere there is in the dressing room. Everyone is laughing and smiling again at Newcastle. “The players have to believe in the manager and they do believe in Kevin Keegan. If you believe in the manager you can do your best, that is certainly how it is with me. We believe he is a really honest man and I think everything will be okay for Kevin Keegan and Newcastle United.” Nevertheless, with Newcastle failing to score, let alone win a game since Keegan’s dramatic return to St James’s Park, Emre admitted it is up to the players to justify the manager’s faith. He added: “When I feel confident I can show my best. Kevin Keegan came to see me play for Inter Milan when he was at Manchester City and he has told me this. I know he wanted me then and that’s important for me. That was four years ago, but we are together now. “I have to show him my quality, but I know he believes in me and that’s important. The manager believes in all the players and we have to justify that now. That is the challenge for us.” Well it looks like hes in tomorrow and we need him like never before ,i would ditch Butt and have Barton centre with Emre and Milner ,Duff on the flanks if Enrique is still out .As its been mentioned before you dont need a DM if the midfield get up and down the pitch and cover each others runs .
