Anymore sick as watching Boumsong or Bramble make a horrible mistake or constant average performances from many of our over paid players? At least Barton will give 100% every game and whether you rate him or not has more quality than Parker.

Absolutely, i was shocked when i found out that he has only scored a couple more than Parker this season because he is capable of so much more. Although, i think it has something to do with Man citys lack of goals and there poor season. For me he EXACTLY the type of playmaker we need. If Butt plays as well as he did last season they would be awesome IMO. Barton and playmaker shouldn't be in the same sentence. If you don't know what a playmaker is you shouldn't express opinions about football. Playmaker. A person who creates play perhaps. Or have you got your definiton from a computer game that i don't play? Would you care to venture into some debate about why he isn't a playmaker, or is that beyond your intelligence?

So, what you're really asking is: Is Allardyce a s*** manager? Well yes. If Roeder was still in charge, i would have no faith at all. In fact i think it would be a ridiculas decsion. However, it can't be denied that some managers have a far better ability to handle volite players. The best example we could give would be Ferguson. He's dealt with, Rooney, Ronaldo, Cantona, Keane and i cannot remember many off the pitch incidents regarding them. I think Allardyce wouldn't take any crap from Barton but that doesn't mean to say Barton wouldn't act up. All things consider i'd say he is worth the rissk (under the correct management).

I've seen Barton play on 3 occasions (live) and on each occasion he has effectively ran the game. He may have a massive attitude problem but his talent, IMO, is unquestionable. If we are talking about making a substantial profit on replacing him for parker i say we go for it. Sadly in this day and age football is made up of shits and most sucessful teams have players who, like Barton, have discipline problems. It's the good managers at those teams which learn to either contain the behaviour or use the passion of the player to create a better player. The question is has Allardyce got it in him to do this with, probably, the biggest shit of all.

As much as i disagree with HTL in the fact that he could put in a shift in the defensive midfield role, i would be delighted if we got rid of him for 8.5 and brought in Barton for 3 million less.

Exactly. The chance of Bale staying at Spurs all his career is stupidly slim anyway. So why would anyone opt for someone younger and therfore less experianced for a higher price. Unless they genuinly believe he is that much better, which would suprise me to say the least.

If Bale is worth 10m how on earth are we going to get Baines for 5m? Baines is still a bairn in footballing terms, the only difference is that he has experiance at premiserhip level and is a couple of years older than Bale. For me we would have to be looking at a similar figure to that of Bale.

Thing is though, 15m? I reckon we could get Ashton for that, who IMO is alot better. Fair enough he has had a couple of injuries but...... For 15 m we could completely re-structure our defence. I'm sick of spending so much money on strikers TBH. It's not that Bents a poor player but 15m is a massive amount of money for one player.

Ben Haim, Campbell, Taylor with Edgar and Huntington in reserve would be a good start! That was my thoughts. Just in case the Campbell or Ben Haim was a no go i would keep my eye on the Hyypia situation too. After that we just need a couple of full backs..... for the defence to be sorted.

I'd give them no more than 1.5m. Not a bad amount of money considering what he would give us over a couple of years service. We have to sign Ben Haim in my eyes.
