Has all the elements of a transfer that is talked about but won't happen.

1. RW/Versatile forward player. For me whoever this is needs to be elite and ready to go. Even as good as Gordon has been, I want someone with experience, pedigree and quality. I also want someone who doesn't need Trippier to hold their hand from RB. 2. CB. Find another Botman. Easier said than done. This would allow us to rotate between Schar, Botman and a new CB, with Lascelles there as a more than useful back up. 3. DM. I know some want a "proper DM" who goes around smashing opposition players up but not for me. We just need someone who can take the weight off Bruno and can offer us the option of moving Bruno forward. This is what we are missing in our CL games. I don't want us to lose anything with regards to our ball retention because we've signed a bruiser. Palhinha, Neves or Caqueret, if we want a younger option. In this scenario, we might have to think about giving both Miley and Anderson loan moves.

Just did someone Dennis Wising and its always a good sign when a DM is given free kick duties, especially a 23 year old no less. Think he's French U21s captain too. Looks made for us, judging by YouTube. Seems to nick the ball well and plays progressive passes. Would be a great understudy for Bruno IMO.

My instinct is that we won't look at Phillips, unless there is a really good deal to be done (which there might). It's easy to forget how opportunistic we have been in the past; Bruno, Isak and Tonali became targets because they were available IMO. Where as Gordon, Botman, Tino and Hall feel like long term investments. Here's hoping someone becomes available in January and we can pounce.

I like Froggy but ultimately we all know he's crying inside about his club. He knows they are about to go into the cupboard for the Norwich scarves. He knows that Ten Hags days are numbered. He knows the clubs infrastructure has been let down by the Glazers and he knows that they have wasted a shit load of cash on shite players. I'd trade Man Uniteds trophy cabinet with ours in a heart beat but that's it, I certainly wouldn't trade futures.

Totally agree with @The College Dropouton this one. The lad needs air miles. A full season at championship club who are well coached would do him wonders. He's incredibly tidy on the ball, looks to have an athletic build, but it's very early days and we shouldn't be relying on someone so young.

Couldn't really give a fuck what's going on at Man United. The comparison between the two clubs direction is obvious to anyone with a brain cell. We have injuries and fatigue and that's what glaring, to ask the same players to go to the well time and time again, without getting a proper rest of period of training is always going to take its toll. When Matt Richie is your best attacking option from the bench and you are aiming for CL footy, you know you are depleted. I've got nothing but love for this group of players and coaches. Unlike other clubs, we are UNITED.

Sorry wasn't really a pop at you specifically. Bruno is a tough one. I think it's next on our list and I think Tonali was the one to step in at number 6 but... I reckon we will go all out for a Tonali replacement and an attacking player.

It's astonishing how little some seem to understand about the limits of our resources up until this point. We've done remarkable to build a squad that we have done, with players like Gordon who was criticised before he'd pulled on a black and white shirt. At every chance to enhance the squad, this ownership have delivered and so far they've been a Chris Wood (even then they got a good fee back) and a Tonali ban away from being perfect. We will recruit again in January.

This is such rubbish. If only our fans could meet your, oh so high, expectations.... despite being probably the most highly regarded grounds in the country when it comes to atmosphere. No home ground is consistently loud because emotion is hard to sustain for 90 minutes. It's not fucking rocket science.
