Something I said at the start of the season.... with regards to the "big 6".... there's always 2 clubs in crisis. When we have only 4/6 qualifying for the CL, that means 2 sides are effectively in crisis, such is the expectation. That means, fans protesting, managers getting sacked, players wanting out, upheaval, pressure and turmoil. Look at Chelsea and Spurs. Liverpool have managed to stay calm but that's entirely down to Klopp having already won it all, it buys him time. Look at how much people are now asking about Ten Haag, just because they might miss out. If Arsenal aren't in the top 4 come Xmas next year.... Arteta out will be trending on twitter. Newcastle are in a fortunate position, in that even if we finished 5th or 6th next year, we would look upon that as understandable given Europe and knowing where we have come from. I suppose my overall point is.... someone is going to be in crisis next season, its inevitable. 6 into 4 doesn't go and now its 7 into 4.

It's a fair question. What would you do if a 30m bid came in for Wilson, 25m for Miggy, 25m for Schar. I know we don't need to sell players, nor do I want to.... I would like to see the debate opened up.

I'm honestly nicer to mackems than I would be a Chelsea fan or a man United fan. Then general feeling around my way is that we would prefer all the north east sides in the PL. Which I agree with, so long as we are class.

I think it comes down to personal preference... Once Wilson career at Newcastle is done, he will be number 1 post Shearer, because of how we will feel about him.

I'd also say that for around 6 months Andy Carroll was outrageous.

I always thought Remy was more naturally gifted than Ba/Cisse/Wilson, he was more similar to Isak, graceful across the pitch. His time at the club is largely tainted by the way he arrived and the way he left. That's not to say he was "better" because you've got to actually produce over a period of time. I think Ba and Wilson are the most rounded players. Cisse offered too little aside from his goals.

He's just very good at everything. He's pretty quick He's really strong on the ball He can hold it up well He's excellent with his head He's a poacher He will also try the spectacular from time to time (arsenal attempt last year, spurs away, Everton away). He's really good at pressing He can play in a 2 or on his own He's ice cold at one on ones and penalties He's driven to be number 1 (see his competition with Isak) He's an experienced shithouse And he's also fucking gorgeous.
