Now that the sensible people are here... We do have a problem in midfield. If we want a new CM or DM, then we have to move someone on... We are already stacked in that position: Bruno: Could leave but it would take an enormous amount and couldn't see us losing him AND Joelinton Joelinton: Is a real candidate to leave with his contract situation. Tonali: No Longstaff: Won't leave because he's seen as a "club man". Like it or not he's part of the fabric, he's also a decent squad player. Howe won't sell him in a million years. Willock: Personally I think he's too important, especially if Joelinton goes. The only way we sell Willock is if we get 30+ million and he asks to move (which is possible). Miley: No chance, too young, too much potential. Anderson: Is an interesting one. On the one hand, he's a geordie and Howe will be reluctant to lose a local lad because he tries to keep a core of homegrown/local players. However, I think he's more likely that Longstaff, Miley or Willock. Personally, I think Joelinton will leave but we will probably sign quite a few players off the back of it.

I thought I'd share some of my favourite Newcastle players of current: Antony Gordon: British, Best player of the tournament at U21s Euros, Class and preferred over Mousa Diaby. Great signing by Eddie Howe. Bruno Guimaraes: Brazilian International, Class, A player who would play for any other PL side. Great Signing by Eddie Howe. Alex Isak: Swedish International, dubbed as 3rd in line behind Haaland and Mbappe when we signed him. Great signing by Eddie Howe. Sven Botman: Dutch rolls Royce, we beat AC Milan to his signature. Great signing by Eddie Howe. You know what these lads have in common?... They are Class. That's our target, Class players. It doesn't matter where they come from or who they play for, as long as they are Class. Some, only some, aren't happy with our approach to transfers of signing Class players, and much preferred the days when we were signing Jeff Hendrick and a fat Danny Rose. Those fans are called idiots.

I think you are talking shit and have an agenda, now gan boil ya heed. Sound like Steve Wraith or one of them bellends. Know nowt gobshite?

Been saying this for while, the run in for us is incredibly generous, but only in a scenario where we gather momentum and get injured players back. It's weird how a week ago you look at Forest away and don't fancy it. Play like we did at Villa for the rest of the season we will 100% jump a couple of places and that would be a content end to the season.

I'll go against the grain here... Luton are shite, they are bully boys who try to play fast and aggressive. Fair play at least they are giving it a go. We are at SJP, make them shit themselves. Start fast, get them defending early, remind them they are shite. Can Luton defend for 90 minutes? If they decide to be brave and come at us, can they prevent being killed on the counter? If Isak starts, I'll go 4-0. If its Gordon through the middle 2-0.

That running race between him and Longstaff, Longy is getting unfair stick. Longstaff started 10 yards behind him and nearly got past him.

Let's not forget that Coloccini was in the PFA PL team of the season as an "alright" centre half. He was class. Had we had a better team, over multiple seasons and more importantly.... someone better than Mike Williamson, he'd have achieved far more. He'd have fucking pissed it for Pep, for example. He wasn't bult for the rough and tumble of a shite PL side. Both Schar and Woodgate would have loved Colo alongside them. God we are so blessed to have Schar AND Botman (who could be the best of them all).

1. Woodgate. If you'd seen him, you'd know. He was everything. Quick, strong, read the game better than any defender I've seen. Also really good on the ball. He was as good as Rio Ferdinand at the time. Sadly, he was a complete crock and also, judging by some of his interviews, a bit of a cock. 2. Schar. He's just edged past Coloccini. Fab is a much more all rounded centre half. Amazing distribution, strong at the back, and no matter how many knocks he takes, he's back ASAP. He's also absolutely gorgeous. 3. Coloccini. Started really slowly for us but grew into it. He's probably the best technician out of the 3, in close quarters he was great on the ball and he also read the game well. From time to time he got bullied, so that's why the two above edge past him. 3 great centre halves. Remembered fondly.

I'm genuinely relieved to see Sandro look so relaxed and almost confident to have a laugh around the lads. For a long time he looked like the proper new kid at school. Hopefully this somehow translates next season. I'm not a psychologist, I couldn't tell you what a difference it makes but it feels important. Also, Anderson seems quite a steely character. It's weird how people grow and perceptions change. Always had him as a shy lad but looks like he has a bit snap. On the other hand Hall, Dummett, Murphy and Bruno are exactly as I thought.

Again Broja is exactly the sort of player Howe would make better, sadly he's also the wrong type for the way we play. Chelsea wouldn't strengthen us anyway.
-
Yep, top 7 for me is the target. Any form of Europe and I'd fancy us to actually win the trophy too. If we can get to Wembley in the FA cup, that will be a good season considering injuries. The key is Barnes and Wilson coming back and us not picking up top many other big injuries.
-
Looks like Bruno has been eating a few.
-
He's a valuable member of the squad.
-
The beauty is that Tino is still a threat from a left wing back, so it doesn't harm our attack as much as it should having an extra defender.
-
Was doing a no goal typed hand gesture.
-
That substitute should be the one going forward. Livramento to protect Burn when we are winning. Best of both worlds.
-
Last 20 minutes was a crucial learning point. We've learned to grind again. Great decision by Howe to put Livramento in there.
-
Gordon took that yellow for Schar.
-
The shithousing is back and I'm pleased.
-
Make a fucking sub man. It's clear we need subs.
-
I swear Longstaff isn't fully fit mind. Been leggy for a few games.
-
I'd bring Livramento on for Longstaff, Livramento could play anywhere IMO.
-
Livramento will be our next sub, the only question is where.

Outstanding stuff this.
