If we sign Sesko, we will sell Isak but we absolutely wont shift on the fee. If we want 150m id bet a fair bit Liverpool will have to reach the 140 mark for us to consider it. This is a once in a generation player for Liverpool and they will find the money to do the deal, even if it means that next summer they dont spend much. From our point of view, we just need to make sure the squad is stronger post-Isak, even if our striker cant be.

I cant believe you bringing up players from 30 years ago. If you can't see the difference...? PL players = less risk. Its that simple. Of course they are risky if those PL players are shite. If you target the top tier targets Ekitike, Sesko and the ones weve already signed, Tonali, Bruno, then you reduce the risk. You've said yourself that youd prefer to take the risk, but with respect, thats why you aren't in charge of our transfers. We cant afford a 50m or even 30m dud. It would cripple us. We are going for the best, least risky players we can, theres plenty of time to take a risk but even then, I reckon it will be loan or someone already known to the league.

Thats an terrible argument, you've mentioned players we signed 15 years ago, non of which are anywhere near the quality we are after now. There's been minimal risk in the players we have gone after, right since the takeover. Thats the strategy. Its nothing to do with where they are based. It just so happens that the most risk free players are domestic and thats because we know how they will cope with the PL. Our targets are fine. Our strategy has been god awful.

No issue with being in for Guehi. My issue is waiting until the first week in august, in what's been a disastrous summer, to start negotiating with the biggest bellend in football.
