  1. Targett for around 5m would be a bargain for someone, even with his inflated wages. He's an absolutely proven PL left back. It's also the sort of money that would free up FFP space for a permanent replacement.... provided we could find someone of course. I'd be looking at loaning Hall out. If anyone needs a years football under their belt, it's Hall... put a recall clause in there in case we are low on numbers. As of today, if we had a fully fit squad, Tino would be LB and Trippier RB in my mind. We've also got Krafth as RB. One thing is for certain, if a good LB is available, we have to move for them, it's a problem position for us.
  2. Who are you starting LB next season?

    St James' Park

Anyone else just happy with anything? As long as things are improving, I'm happy.
  4. He's class like. I can't even hate him. He's such a cunt, he's likeable. He won them a shootout.
  5. I don't want to sell any of our best players but I certainly don't want to be selling them to clubs who I expect to be competing with in the next 5 years. If Isak or Bruno were to leave, they can do better than Arsenal.
  6. Gallagher is a good player. Let's not do this again. That said, it certainly isn't a priority position. He's nailed on for Spurs IMO.
  7. Grealish slowed the game down every time he was on the ball. Doku is commiting players.
  8. An absolute lesson by Madrid on how to defend.
  9. Out of the two, Tosin would be my choice. He's an absolute monster.

    Callum Wilson

Title of the thread is a bit harsh on Wilson. I know he's been injured alot but I don't think he deserves abuse.
  11. I know its not really for this thread but I can't wait to see the game where we have our current front 3, with Livramento at RB behind Gordon.
  12. My thoughts are that so far we haven't really done "stop gap" type signings, by that I mean signing players specifically because they are deemed a good deal or a bargain. Therefore my instinct is that we won't go near Kelly or Tosin, unless we had already seen them as potential signings, which is possible. Ultimately, players will need to fit whatever model/system we have and can't be signed just because they are good value. It's much more likely that we will have a quality CB (probably from the continent) on our radar, who will fit the pattern of players we've signed more recently: Aged between 19-25 Experienced for their age Potential for improvement Versatile 30-50m From a club that are vulnerable financially to us Of course that's dependent on the sort of finances we have...

    Harvey Barnes

The good news is that any wrinkles in Harvey Barnes game will be identified and worked on... by a coaching group who have done wonders with multiple players. He's also now going to be playing in the most talented side he has ever played with in his career.

    This a rumour or...?

    Joe Willock

He'd be perfect for Burnley next season.

    Anthony Gordon

Well, I suppose from that point of view, it comes down to excuses and how far someone allows themselves to get caught up in whatever problem life throws at them. After all, football doesn't come first over mental health etc. My instinctive/cynical side will always think that we hear their sob story or excuses after they've thrown it all away. I suppose that's what truly makes someone great in whatever they do. They make the sacrifices, they ride the storms, they persevere.
  17. Palace won't be easy. If we play like we did at Fulham, we could have a hill to climb. I'm sure we can/will get something but it's far from a banker.
