There's been loads of players with fairly limited ability go on to achieve great things because they have a better attitude than their more talented counter parts. I really like Clark. Perhaps I've just been put off from some of the horrific CBs we have had to watch through the years, Bramble, Boumsong, Taylor etc. I like a centre half who doesn't make howlers, who shows some leadership and gets on with no fuss. Clark has been all of those things and we was key to our promotion. He is one of the few players I don't worry about, I'd fancy Lascelles getting turned by a pacey striker before Clark making a howler. He shouldn't be first choice, looking forward, but he's calm and efficient and we want to be careful before throwing reliable centre half's in the bin, when we don't know who could be coming in.

Reckon our best chance of a takeover is when the PL decide the bad PR + potential lawsuit isn't worth their time and effort. At some point in arbitration the PL will ask for a token from the buyers in order for the takeover to go through. That token will be enough for them to save face in this matter and claim victory.
