  1. Seems quite a clear policy to spread our transfers out over the summer and january. Most clubs virtually shut shop during january. Desperate for defenders like. A lot of talk around Debuchy, will be nice to actually watch him play. That's Simpson gone. Centre half next please. However I can see us signing an attacking mid.

    Sir Alex Ferguson

Footballing version of a dictatorship. For years he created a surpressive regime built on bulling his staff players and refs into submission. Look at some of the great players whom he's kicked out for having a voice, Beckham, Ronaldo, keane and the quiet ones who have stayed on, Scholes, Giggs. It all works as a fantastic motivation tool but ultimately its a flaw in his personality, he's a bully and acts like a child when anyone stands up to him. Take the bbc incident, or barring sky on wednesday. Don't fight the regime or it will destroy you. Its not the same as Mourinho who calculates his controvesy. Its not genius mind games, its bitching. There's no question of Fergys success, he's done remarkable things. Had he not had his first premierleague title he would gone down in history like all the other scottish dinosaurs, dalglish, mcleish etc, for being a bully who's motivation outweighs his tactical nouse.

Mackem logic: the graph is upside down.

    Vurnon Anita

I've called this one along time ago. IMO Anita will become a better player than both Cabaye and Tiote. I believe he will be more influential and consistent. Have all three only played once together? Bordeaux?
  5. Krul Simpson Coloccini Williamson Santon Anita Perch Jonas Cisse Ba Marveaux With us losing Tiote, there is no way we will drop Jonas. Marveaux or Obertan in for Tiote, with Jonas dropping deep.
  6. It'll not if they are consistently crap or consistently losing. Oh aye that's what I meant.
  7. I was asking for a unchanged side because consistency will get us out of trouble.

    Loïc Remy

The more I think about it, the more I think Ba has us by the balls. My worry is that the club intend on signing Remy "if" Ba leaves. Which means we could spend the full month pissing a potential signing about, while Ba tosses a coin on whether to stay. The club should take the bull by the horns and sign Remy, if we have too many "purples", we can tell Ba/Cisse that they are surplus to requirements in the summer. We can't let Ba play god.

    Loïc Remy

This is literally the most warn out arguement ever and has zero to do with Remy.
  10. Think we will be right up for this and we have had a full weeks work (if that makes a difference). Like I have always said, we could do with a nice early goal.

    Loïc Remy

So has anything extra been said about Remy? Highly doubt we will sign him.
  12. While we are on we might as well drop Tiote who's been dreadful at times and Williamson who's been even worse. Won't work though.
  13. Worst of it is, none of the "big four" will touch him. He will end up at Liverpool on stupid wages or QPR under dodgy-harry on... stupid wages.
  14. We have made changes every week man. Pardew needs to pick his side and stick with it. We played well against City and lost, play the same against QPR and we will win.
  15. Jonas still in. Long term, Marveaux should replace Jonas but i want some consistency. If we keep chopping and changing we will never find any form. It's all well and good posting fantasy teams, playing all kinds of daft formations but in reality we need to keep a consistent side making changes only when needed. Jonas has been constantly in the side this season still and his form hasn't changed yet. Well done for completely missing the point.

  17. So I'd go; Krul Simpson Williamson Colo Santon Anita Perch Tiote Jonas Ba Shola
  18. I'm all in agreement with people wanting Jonas dropped for Marveaux but not this week. We are going to be penned into our own half, so we need hard workers in midfield. However, we need an outlet, I can't see where that will come from. I'd be tempted to play Shola against Kompany and isolate Toùre with Ba.
  19. Hasn't it already been said? We were linked with him ages ago, just a rehash.

    Alan Pardew

Our attacking play against Wigan and Fulham has improved. Our team is now collapsing in defence. Tiote's form is a large part of that and Williamson, obviously.
  21. I find it quite funny how Colo got slated in his first year here. It was nothing to do with 'adapting' to the league, more that he wasn't getting any protection from midfield, in a poor performing side. It wasn't until Hughton sorted out the defensive structure of the team, where we saw Colo thrive. So here we are once again, defensive errors starting to creep/run back into our game. Is it Coloccini has lost a yard of pace/confidence? Or is it that our midfield has done nothing to protect our back four in recent weeks. Under Hughton and right up to last year we had consistent back four and midfield, so long as Pardew keeps chopping and changing we won't get our solid defence back.
