Norwich are right to set their standard though, small clubs can't afford to be bullied. They should make it as difficult as possible but in the meantime they should start the hunt for a new boss. By the time they have found his successor, he will be Villa manager. Steve Bruce would probably make a good manager for them TBH.

Ok Bramble, your not guilty
-
It gets better. I would love it if they didn't stump up the 5m. That would leave Rodgers in a pretty poor position.
-
Bet that's why Grant Holt handed in a transfer request, he knew something was brewing. Wonder if he will follow Lambert to Villa.
-
I think that too TBH. The one year i have no hope for them, they go and make the final or summit.
-
Half that list are shit too.

I think dinosaurs such as Villa and Liverpool are eventually going to suffer the same fate as we did three seasons ago. They share alot of the same problems, that i feel we did, in some cases worse. With owners who seemingly lack direction or knowledge for the game, whom repeatedly make bizzare manager appointments based on fan power or money, there can only be one outcome. It's not like these clubs have billions to back their respective clubs with, in some respect it might make it easier if they had no money at all. How can these clubs afford to splash 25m on Bent, 20m on Henderson, 35m on Carroll, whilst hiring people like McLeish and Dalglish. Brendan Rodgers is a good honest coach but he will struggle while his name isn't Dalglish, Souness or Benitez.

Them winning the Champions League (again), was the worst thing that could have happened to the football world. They clearly saw it as their destiny as "one of the greatest clubs in the world", which David Fairclough has just described them on SSN. Other than seeing it as everyone else saw it, a one off. Don't get me wrong, it was an amazing achievement and well deserved but it papered over the direction that the club has been heading for what nearly 25 years? That's quarter of a decade for "one of the greatest clubs in the world", which has seen not one league title. They really need a shock moment, some realisation of where they really are as a club.

The way we operate, added to the amount of good out of contract players there are this year, leads me to think we may sign someone on a bosman. Have no idea who though.
-
Interesting to see if he gets Gerrard playing carpet football, which he is incapable of and how will Carroll manage with a neat style of passing football? Good for Suarez though but he's probably the only one.
-
He might contribute to Benzema being top goalscorer but he won't be himself.
-
Hazard and Kagawa already. There's going to be some good players on show next year.
-
Really good signing for Man Utd. Typical Fergy player. Bet he's class for them.
-
Gerrard being captain puts the England side in a straight jacket. That means he is going to play despite going into the tournament in the poorest form in his career. Lampard I can handle, if the team is built around his ability to find a goal. As much as I don't like Terry, having a Chelsea trio in the back four makes total sense, especially with their heroics in the champions league.

Although i disagree with Hodgsons squad. If i had to pick a team out of that lot i would go with: Hart Johnson Cahill Terry Cole Lampard Parker Gerrard Rooney Young Carroll Christ what a crock of shit to choose from.

Oh there is no chance that we will be looking to bring in Gameiro. I think we will look to younger players to have as understudies to Cisse and Ba. Sammy will be one of them by the way.
-
We are not Man Utd though and we dont get CL every year and dont have the income they have..... it will be very difficult for us on the income and wage structure we have to sign players like Gamiero as a squad player. Which is what i said at the end. You also have to bare in mind the possibility of Ba or Cisse leaving next year. What better than having a replacement already here?
-
Or PSG waved a big wad of money in his face and the opportunity to stay in France. Lets not also forget how dramatically our reputation has changed in the last 12 months too, especially in France.
-
Jack Wilshere has to be one of the biggest bellends in football.
-
It's about having a squad of good players. If Gamiero risks putting someones nose out because there is "too much competition" for places, then tough shit. Those with the correct attitude will get the place in the side. You don't think Man Utd etc sign players and tell them their pecking order? No they don't, they tell them that they are part of a squad and will get plenty of games. What happens if Ba's knee goes or Cisse pulls a hammy? Do we we stick with Best/Shola or another young squad player for six months or so? Finding games for another good player won't be the problem. Finding wages and transfer fees might be.
-
He's guilty as fuck
-
I think Kalou is quite a good player. He's never played regularly though, he's wasted half his career sitting on Chelsea's bench.
-
He will be a good signing for them, won't change their fortunes though.
-
We are lucky that Wacko likes Owen, as he will probably sitting on Liverpools bench next year.

I agree, whatever makes sense for us financially, is the right decision regarding Xisco. He offers nothing to us in football terms, so we just need to squeeze every penny out of the lad. I'd be astonished if we got a fee for him, just let him go and get the wages back and our self respect in the process.
