    The England Thread

Ok, well after all the hatred of the England football team, i'm now ready to become the most patriotic arsehole you have ever met. Lets thrash the frogs.
  2. I don't know if it makes us a selling club, which is a phrase used by journalists and Sky morons, but i do believe should a sizable offer come in for any of our players we are liable to sell. I'm not saying that is wrong, it may well be for the good of the club but we should always brace ourselves for interest from richer clubs. When we hear rumours of enquires and scouting for players like Anita, i presume it's the club giving themselves an option in the event that we do decide to sell. If we are looking to add Anita to the squad because we need a bigger an better squad next year, i will be very impressed, as it shows considerable ambition.
  3. On the other hand, if we do sell Tiote, we won't have spend the rest of the summer wondering if we will replace him. Its not that I want to be negative, just that I see it as the most likely outcome. Both Man Utd and Chelsea have been linked to him, the signs aren't good.
  4. I don't really see why he has to be anyones direct replacment. That would be assuming we have balanced numbers in the squad in this first place. Players come and go, there not always related to one another. However if we do sign this lad, I would have to question Tiotes future.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Liverpools attitude, will be Liverpools demise.

    Danny Guthrie

Apparently his dads a part of a gang family in Manchester.
  7. Oddly enough Yorkie, it's not the position or ability. I trust the club that respect. The validity of the source is the most worrying.
  8. I'll wait until there is something more concrete.

Christ i think i would prefer to back Jordan Henderson in this one. Perhaps someone should tell Barton that he was never going to be selected, regardless of his ability. In fact had he been the scouse Messi he still would never have got on the plane (well ok).

    Hatem Ben Arfa

This is a stupid debate for a number of reasons. Firstly, we should never advocate losing our best players. The whole point of football, is fans flocking to watch great teams and wonderful players, not being a stepping stone to supposed (or actual) bigger clubs. Therefore regardless of a fee in which we may get, or the club in which he may join, the only emotion we should feel is disappontment that we won't get to watch that player again. Secondly, worrying about Ben Arfa moving is pointless. IF he moves, we won't get a choice where he goes, only he will decide that. Ben Arfa has already proved that he's not particularly bothered about whether the club likes it or not. If he wants to leave, he will leave. He can say he loves the club and that he's happy, he's found his home etc but haven't we heard it all before? Jose Enrique proved never to trust the shite that comes out of footballers mouths. If a "big club" (which is a horrible term), comes in for Ben Arfa and he fancies the money or the trophies or the lifestyle, he will leave. However, there is no point worrying, as it is the same for every other footballer who walks through the doors of SJP, including those from Newcastle. It's also the same for every other club in the world, other than perhaps Barcelona.
  11. If i was Daniel Levy, i would not be best pleased that the world now knows that my mam had popped her clogs like.
  12. De Jong Sneijder Robben VDV Van Persie Huntelaar Now that would be a front six. Shame about the defence.

    Good and Bad Debuts

Let's hope Alan Smiths offspring never visit this place. Ironically he had a good debut.
  14. I see genuine love for the club from Timmy. There's very little chance he will leave in the next couple of years. Perhaps when his contract runs down he might consider leaving but not now.
  15. Even though the sources are shite, if he is highly rated by Ajax, it would surprise me if we weren't aware of him. Its very probable that we have scouted him, especially with his being versatile. Doesn't mean to say we have any real interest in him.

    Graham Carr

He does well to cart himself around Europe so frequently, at his age. Sipping wine in France after watching the footy must take it's toll

    Chris Hughton

Wouldn't mind them at home first game of the season.

    Graham Carr

Do we have more than one scout at the club, or does Carr have lots of scouts working under him? 8 Years, i swear Ashley is taking the piss. Good stuff though.
  19. I've always liked him and he would be ideal in the position that Ba takes up currently, although not as a replacement. On the one hand, it sounds like the sort of deal we would look at (a freebie), on the other hand, as some have mentioned, he may be high wages. Perhaps the club would consider giving him a hefty signing on fee, to make up for the loss in wages. Knows Tiote doesn't he?
  20. Calm down Sandwich man, i'm just messing. Come on then, whats the latest from footymong.com?

    sunderland

Thing is though, i always keep my mouth shut when Sunderland sign a player. Not because i believe they will be any good but because i wouldn't want to look like a complete tool if i was wrong. Queerside is a moron, they are not all like that in scumsville but RTG seems to be a haven for the biggest inbreds.
  22. Basically Sandwich, your links are tedious at best and probably a load of bollocks. Newcastle Banter page? Hardly Reuters.

Aye it's all bollocks like, same as the European coefficiancy (sp) thing for the Europa League etc.

    NUFC Pre-Season 2012/13

We are taking our time over both the new shirt and our pre-season plans, typical Newcastle. The fans are always the last to know, not the end of the world like.
  25. His name makes me feel hungry. Anyone else fancy a samich?
