Didn't i read that our side that beat West Brom 3-1 cost less than that of Andy Carroll. Thats a damning indictment of their situation. I'm not even suggesting they run with a budget like ours but there is at least a canny medium.
-
There's no way in hell that Cisse or Ba will make the same mistake that Carroll did. IF either of those two were to leave, there would be bigger and better clubs than Liverpool in for them. Liverpool is a wasteland for footballers these days, a deluded shadow of it's former self.

We need to stop this new to the top-flight crap, there is no excuse for some of the negative long ball crap we've served up this season which was in the main down to the manager's tactics, team selections and negative approach to the game. As for carpet football, no-one expected that, not me anyway, I didn't expect the calibre of players we do have in our side to struggle to play some possession football though which they did. Now that isn't the case and myself and others have been vindicated. I always thought we could play good attacking football from the off and we are doing that. As for a new team, bollocks, only Ba, Cabaye and Obertan were regularly in the side, hardly a brand new team as you put it - 3 players man. Oh, so we have you to thank for our current form and style? I'm so glad that you pointed out to the rest of us idiots how poor we were playing previously. One "blip" in form aside, we have been outstanding all season. There is simply no excuse for picking the bones out of Pardew's performance this season, other than sheer negativity or a simple case of being afraid to admit that you were wrong. Even when we were playing "poorer" football, i had no doubt that we would come through the other side. Not because i'm some know-all, but because i totally understood what Pardew was trying to do and i had confidence in it. I'm glad Pards has repaid my faith and i hope now that you too, will have the bollocks to place your faith in him.

Oh look at me, I've never seen the Toon lose...pathetic. Good record though. HTT, you changed your mind about Pardew?
-
The most talent player in the league, in his position. No player combines vision, dribbling and guile as good as Ben Arfa. Where have you been all my life?
-
He looks like a senior pro in out team, someone the other players look up to. I actually put that down to how he has been managed and Pardew giving him the captaincy on a couple of occasions.

What an epic CUNT Harry Redknapp is and his son.

To pip saggy face on the last game of the season would be it for me, I don think I would watch football ever again. Oh know wait, I would if we were playing in the champions league. This season, christ.
-
Honestly, it is on. We have tough fixtures but I would swap places with anyone. Fuck me we could finish 3rd.
-
Did the BBC predictor thingy: Arsenal 3rd on 72 Tottenham 4th on 70 Us 5th on 70 Chelsea 6th on 68 Which i think is almost where we are at now, points wise. Looking at Spurs and Chelsea's fixtures it's clear that none of us have an easy run in, Spurs go away to a couple of teams down scrapping, where as Chelsea have Arsenal and Liverpool away. Will be really interesting to see how it pans out, regardless of where we finish.

I can't think of an occasion this season. Well he definitely won a penalty that Ferguson will blame if Man Utd don't win the league. It was a great tackle. The ref just got it wrong.
-
If we beat Stoke, we are in with a great shout of finishing in the top four. Chelsea/Arsenal have to drop points this weekend, so either we move away from Chelsea or move closer to Arsenal or probably ideally they draw. If Spurs get beat off QPR... well.

I can't think of an occasion this season.

Still think Ben Arfa and Pardew will end in tears. I don't want to be too negative, so that's all i'll say.
-
I think the strength of the league overall has improved but as you say, the top sides aren't what they were. However, it's the cycle of life, soon we will be talking about how good the top few teams are again.

You can just imagine the inbreds reading this thread, "Daft Jawdees think they've won 4 world cups".
-
I think it's a mock up from the Italy shirts, 4 world cup wins.
-
This little rest period worries me greatly. I hope we haven't lost our form.
-
No matter how much we guess and speculate, we will never guess correctly who the club is after. I'm looking forward to seeing who we do sign, i'm sure they will be good players.
-
Fucking hell, i'd rather we stuck with this one. I can only hope that it looks better with the Virgin Money logo. Always more Black than White for me like. Collar's gash too. Yuck.

I've said before, him and Cabaye are almost a carbon copy of one another in the way they play. Guthrie is perfect for the continental game because he likes time on the ball. IMO he will get many games in Europe next year, especially considering Tiote's discipline/injury record, there's also a chance we may sell Tiote this summer too. If he has any sense he will stay and sign a new deal. There is nothing stopping him asking for a move next summer, should he feel he wants more games, i'm sure Pardew would be sympathetic in that sense. I like Guthrie and hope he decides to stay, i'd far rather we offered him a five year deal than Simpson (not that it's relevant).

How long does it normally take for the new kit to be revealed? I know the release date is normally May but we normally get a pre-view or a leak of some sort a couple of weeks before that.
-
I was wondering, what would we do if Carr left? Would we have a replacement of the same quality? I'm not trying to claim he is some sort of superhero but he is bloody good at his job. As Ian W says, we should looking to nurture new scouts at the club, to work alongside Carr.

I just don't understand, how can a bunch of guys/girls on the internet come up with better shirts than a sportswear company? All of those posted above are fantastic but i have no faith in Puma to do anything as good as them. Can someone confirm, have we still got Puma next year? Couldn't remember if we had agreed a new deal.

Na I'd rather Chelsea got beat and we won. That would leave a fourth place battle between us and Spurs, Spurs have the fixtures, we have the form.
