A knight of the realm and the bard of mackemdom....by any chance??

At least try and live up to your potential. That's where Ranger fails. He doesn't seem to try and doesn't seem to care. Plenty of kids tried but didn't make it (see any of the recent youth releases) but Ranger doesn't seem to even try.

PFA and FA call for improved behaviour in football
Exiled in Texas replied to Dave's topic in Football
Unfortunately, the FA doesn't have the stomach to go through the corrective process.... they would crumple before the likes of Citeh, Chelsea or Man U complaining about losing 2-3 first teamers for upcoming matches. Just mic the referees.....then everyone would know what the referee heard and it would be easy to justify their actions. Until then...no one will have the balls to enforce it. -
The screen is actually up very high and it's not really visble from the field (while playing) ...the Kick-Off /Punters have been trying to hit the screen but it's been raised up out of range. Wait till you have goal line technology controversial incidents being replayed up on the screen

I watched the pre-season exhibition game between Chelsea and Club Americas (sitting behind the goal in the upper end zone with the smaller end screens in front of me. I kept forgetting to watch the actual players on the field because the game on the screen was easier to see.

Just hang some screens over the field like they do at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas for the Cowboys. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQGcwnrg_BycFYEUB3Zydpx3JUPRLfEn9yEEQDGloPx7L1salqSlQ http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT-Z8BhDR7k4lLnm_UHajiNcz7t0fRfdjwxRNvvpVmefoKOmTqD

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
Exiled in Texas replied to Pilko's topic in Football
I see this bid as nothing more than a cheeky punt by Mike/Dekkers....an opportunistic bid to see if they can get a bargain. I don't see them getting into a bidding war as I don't think they are that bothered if they sign him or not. They will simply walk away and go back to their real targets. -
This is how I see it...the question is going to be will Liverpool rebound, and will Spurs/Arsenal be as good as last time. So I think that anything between 5-7 would be fine.
-
It's a slight technicality but a substitute cannot take a throw-in until they have stepped onto the pitch to be officially become a player in the game.....but all he has to do is sub-in, step onto the field and then step off to take the throw-in.
-
But he didn't mention makemdom or magdor this time.

Hello! Ticket Office? You gotta get me a new seat....the guy next to me is sitting in my seat, his seat and the guy next doors seat...

So what's the deal behind moving the flames from the crest to the back of the jersey. Is that the first step in removing the flames from the Club crest so that in a year or two they can move on with the Liverbird crest and drop the 96 flames? Perhaps their owners are figuring out that their brand is being tarnished by this constant whining.

Liverpool fans f***** off pretty quickly. Their end was empty by the time the teams went up for the medals/cup

In MLS soccer, the Dallas Burn renamed to FC Dallas. Much better name. And Kansas City Wizards renamed to Sporting Kansas City....nice try but still not quite right.

Ahhh, commonnnn, had a busy week at work, sitting in the sunshine, nice black jacket on, getting all warm and cozy. No one will notice if I take a quick nap.

The still image looks to be 90-95% over but not 100%. But you're saying that it "clearly" didn't cross the line which to me would be in the 10-20% range. In the picture it looks like 10% more of the ball would make this a goal, but 10% further on a "clearly not" position isn't a goal. It was a lot closer than it looked
-
Bullshit. He'd have to be handing that brown envelope back to Abramovich. I can't speak for Martin Atkinson but when I referee all I care about is getting the decisions right. I don't care who wins or looses, I only want to be 100% right and I would take all the tools available that i could.
-
I agree that the ball is not completely over the line, but it's a heck of a lot closer than the initial comments that the ball hadn't even touched the line at all

What if Bale stops to claim for the Penalty....or if he decides to NOT score to take the Penalty/Red card?? Does that still mean that the opportunity was denied? I'd argue that was him not using the advantage and wouldn't pull it back (remember he has five/six seconds according to the law), tough call though! For sure....glad it wasn't me
-
And that's pretty much Martin Atkinson's view from his position. Looks much more like a goal from there than the replays showed.
