CM/LM/LWB high tempo, dynamic/high workrate, good passer, comfortable on the ball and the occassional freekick. If Hearts don't take up the buyout from the loan we will buy him. IMO he is a more effective player than Parker. He's two footed for a start. Sam has a file on him since Bolton first tried to buy him a year ago. Allardyce player, on the few clips I've seen looks committed and engaged. I'd take him anyway. Boateng (CM/ACM/DCM) is in a similar mould but I'd say from what I've read and the one AIK game I watched a better tackler with a good first touch and solid short range passing. Not as gifted as Kingston. Boateng was more highly rated than Essien in their U17 days, but lost his way a little. Easily worth £1m or even £2m - again a no brainer for me. Interstingly for a player that can play 2nd striker has shown he is clever enough to play an allrounf mf role. Two highly dynamic African players that are in the Allardyce mould and IMO both can bring something to our club. Budget versions of the Essien/Mikel combo. Cheers Parky, sounds canny then. I'm becoming abroken record here like but if we do sign these players, Big Sam gets my vote of confidence because they could easily become another Haim or Faye and it is about time we signed some unknown players. Another good thing is that if they dont turn out to be any good we wouldnt lose that much money, Im sick and tired of us wasting huge amounts of money.

The Times: The Nations Top Players (Mathematically Calculated)

Thats slightly unfair on the other players because Giggs,Scholes and Rooney all played a big part. -
Sam Allardyce is set to make the Ghana international Derek Boateng his first signing at Newcastle United. The expected arrival of the 24-year-old is a clear sign that the new manager wants to overhaul his midfield as well as defence with the injury-prone and high-earning Kieron Dyer, who has interested Tottenham Hotspur, unlikely to figure in Allardyce's plans. Newcastle are also aware of West Ham United's strong interest in buying Scott Parker, who has failed to settle in the north-east and, according to sources, the club is prepared to let their captain go if they receive an acceptable bid. Newcastle want at least £7m for Parker. Boateng, a striker who has been converted into an attacking midfielder, plays for the Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem. Allardyce has been tracking him for some time and had earmarked him as a recruit for Bolton. Although the transfer fee is thought to be less than £1m, Boateng has had an outstanding season at Beitar, having moved there last summer when he signed a three-year contract. He had previously played in Greece and Sweden and represented Ghana in last summer's World Cup. Boateng has yet to fulfil his potential although he has thrived in Israel. Four years ago Middlesbrough attempted to sign him but the bid failed because he could not secure a work permit. Since then he has become a regular international and now partners Michael Essien in the heart of midfield for his country. Boateng may not be a high-profile signing but he is the kind of imaginative arrival that was the hallmark of Allardyce's time at Bolton. Having missed out on Steve Sidwell, who has moved to Chelsea from Reading after initially indicating he would move to St James' Park, he also represents the attacking threat that Allardyce feels Newcastle lack from the centre of midfield. http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/premiership/article2591539.ece

What do you think about signing Joey Barton? Obviously he has a bit of a temper but I'm hoping Sam could curb that and we could get to see some excellent football from the lad as we know hes capable TBH if SA cant control him we can just sell him on, He is a good player and we need a midfielder who knows how to get forward.
-
SA is back off holiday aint he? Didnt he go and visit Dyer and Owen on Friday?
-
Ive watched Beckham play for Real this season and he has been in fantastic form, I'd definately have him here. Some times i get the feeling some people are righting him off just because its Beckham. But....Didnt Beckham say he'd never play for another Premiership team?
-
Riquelme was the same and he ended up on loan at Boca, Adriano is vastly over rated partly because he's Brazilian. I think he has what it takes to be a good player in the premiership. I have no idea if he'd come here but i remember when i suggested trying to get Tevez i was basically laughed at and a week later he was at West Ham, I dont think he come here but there's no harm in trying to get him on loan with an option to buy him, Worst Inter can say in No.
-
Do people think we should stick with Solano or get a new RB? IMO we should try and get rid of Carr then replace him with a good RB and use Solano as back up for RB and RW.
-
I wont play against Brazil or Inter on Pro-Evo because of HIM. I think he'd be good in the Premiership and Inter would probably wanna cash in on him.
-
Spurs are crazy, £10m for a 17 year old who hasnt played a single game in the premiership.
-
Ashley doesn't need our club for the money he could make out of it, he's got more than enough. Thats basically the way im looking at it

I wonder what Sheva is thinking

YYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS

3 mins added time

They are playing 2 DCM aint they?
-
Yep, IMHO i'd rather some-one like Bridge or Baines. Newcastle over the past few years have taken their fair share of risks and have lost a lot of money because of it.
-
Yea exactly, Teams like Newcastle will still be interested in him next season but right now Chelsea are giving him a shot so why not take it?
