  1. Not Sunderland related but Koeman's freekick against England on the retake.. 'He's going to chip it'
  2. To be fair 'Aguerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo' isn't the hardest line to remember! Wasn't Albert's chip something daft like 'if the fourth was the cake then that was definitely the icing'?
  3. Weren't the 90's a great time for haircuts
  4. Home Newcastle then Run for Home? Needs some variety in the playlist - maybe some Lambton Worm or something
  5. It really should have been 0-3 by 60 mins and a discussion about another masterful away win. Definitely a game thrown away - almost a carbon copy of the game at SJP last year
  6. Really want to see Gayle and Mitro up front. If nothing else it ads variety into the rotation. Right now Norwich are thinking about one of 2 options: Gayle and Diame or Mitro and Perez
  7. HBA under Keegan would have been amazing. Especially in the entertainers side
  8. The second time in recent years that they've given us a new boost following a derby defeat
  9. Not really but a midweek derby under the floodlights wold be class. When was the last one? It wasn't the play offs was it? Wasn't one of the 'no away fans' derbies midweek? The one where Beardsley scored the winner
  10. Not to mention that Arsenal came from 12 points behind to win the league a couple of years later
  11. Wants 1. Mitro to get 60 mins from the start 2. 2 up top (Gayle and Mitro) 3. Atsu and Lazaar to start 4. No Colback Don't wants 1. Hanley AND Clark (one or the other please) 2. Colback 3. Dummett
  12. Listening on radio is definitley bringing back some nostalgia of the Keegan years. Listened to pretty much every game on the radio back then and with the lack of TV coverage this year I've gone back to my teenage years style support. Not missing the TV as much as I thought I would
  13. Didn't we get a decent amount of money from Liverpool when they were late with an installment for Carroll?
  14. Don't Spurs have until 11 tomorrow morning?
  15. Lascelles will be in the team on merit as the standout performer from our last 6 games last season. Hanley and Clark are the ones who need to show that they are better, not the other way around
  16. I can see at least a semi final one of the cups
  17. I reckon he'll thrive on it.
  18. Pens need changing. Managers should take the 1st and keepers the 2nd
  19. If it's any consolation as an Englishman in Wales it's friggin unbearable. Can't see them beating Portugal without Ramsey though
  20. I understand that, but then my other thought it "what if the deadwood is also shoyte at championship level? We will never get rid of them, so maybe best to peddle them now, rather than risk paddling with them later". Quite a few of them are out of contract next summer- Anita, Cisse, Gouffran, Tiote. Fuck knows what we will do with Saivet. Give him a go, he looked decent enough with what little we have seen
  21. It's 100% wrong to ignore the deep rooted damage that Pardew did to this club. He's as much to blame as Schteve. Basically Pardew was instrumental in creating a defeatist mentality right through the club that led right to relegation. It would have taken a Keegan or Bobby type character to turn that around within a year
  22. He scored 13 in 29 (I think) playing for Peterborough. They're not exactly a top class Championship side and that was after him making a big step up from Dagenham & Redbridge. He's been playing for a God awful, negative Palace team and has been their top scorer the last 3 seasons. Despite limited opportunities and an absolute shitgibbon of a manager. There's clearly an argument to suggest he'll score goals for us. He's more experienced, he'll be playing in a better side and his stats suggest his goalscoring ratio, is in fact, pretty good. You would think he would start, seeing as what we're paying for him. But then again, with Rafa's favoured 4-2-3-1, I'm not sure where he fits in? So it may be a case of him being used in a rotation, or subbed on if we need a goal. Judging by his numbers. I think he'd be suited to a supersub role and have success for us playing like that. But I'm not sure we'd spend that much for a backup. Or that he would be keen on coming, if that's the case. I think it's a good signing, either way. A guy that scores goals when he gets minutes, is exactly what we needed. He's never really had much chance of finding form and getting a long run in the team, either. Without trying to sound arrogant. I do think people forget how poor this league is. Harewood got 5 in 15 for us. Lovenkrands was regularly on the scoresheet. Routledge looked like a beast. Got a funny feeling we'll be lining up 4-4-2 for the majority of the season
