Liverpool have knocked her back twice, even after she offered £1.2bn. I'm still not clear whether it's her offering £1.2bn or she's doing it on behalf of some other party. If she is looking to buy a club personally then she'd want Liverpool I'd have thought, since that's the club she supports. Why would she want to spend a daft amount on a club which she doesn't follow? See Ashley, Fat Mike

To be fair when touting himself for the Wales job pre Coleman all Hartson could say is ‘no one will be more welsh than me’. Sums it up perfectly

Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC
Colos Short and Curlies replied to ChrisMcQuillan's topic in Football
One thing with Ashley, if he is in anyway involved you can guarantee that HMRC will be all over Sports Direct for years to come looking at every single tax angle they can. So even if we’re fucked, he is more so -
Even before the weekend I had noticed a shift in how we were being written about in the press, it really does feel that something is up, what though is unknown

I think you’ll find he’d shag you, only it would be meticulously planned love making

Only one person involved in our last 2 cup finals (both teams and management) is still active in the professional game (excluding punditry). Thigh to be fair Wenger will still be Arsenal manager in another 19 years time

Not surprising to me. Academies/Centre's of excellence have a piss poor record of developing players who go on to have a full career in the professional game. I really think that youth development should be taken out of clubs and put into regional centre's with a broader access point and a focus on the kids' development, not the club's interests. Would love to see it run through universities, a bit like in the US. There would still be affiliation to the areas where professional clubs are to allow sponsorship and support, and it adds in a bonus that those who don't make it get some form of education to support them afterwards

Kuyt, Skrtl (however you spell it!), Spearing all in one picture. How did the lens not crack?

11pm surprise deal. Come on let's make it happen!

But wouldn't that be the case with a hell of a lot of fouls where the ref seems it a yellow at worst when replays show studs up etc? Ref sees an incident and rules it as he sees fit, end of story for the incident surely?

Probably off on holiday this week before the kids go back to school

De Jong didn't even make the bench last weekend. Unless he's had an incredible week of training, then why would he jump from not being in the 18 to starting? Horses for courses? Pretty sure we saw a few lineups last season where someone (ok usually Mitro or Murphy) would go from out the squad to first 11
