  1. So much effort in getting the capitalisation right but forgot the spacing. 5/10
  2. She helped broker the deal which made Man City the richest club in the world. She came to buy us and was forced into playing Ashley’s game, ultimately seeing his toys being thrown out of the pram, and her being personally insulted publicly. She then came back with even big investors which would make Newcastle 10 times as rich as the Man City deal she brokered (at least on paper). She has met with local MP’s, councillors, and land owners about developing areas of Newcastle. She has met with fans groups to talk to them about how they think the club should be ran. She is a in a high court battle with Barclays where she claims she is owned over £1bn. You don’t get to go to the high court for a case like that unless both your very expensive and very good lawyers, and the very experienced judge think you have a realistic chance of winning. Why is she no longer credible? Is it because this test is taking a long time? That’s not her fault, you need to knock on the Premier League’s door for that one. Is it because she has said to Caulkin that she thinks there will be a positive outcome and it will be approved? The D&O test maybe taking some time, but she’s not been wrong so far has she? If Staveley's ideas and visions were coming from a chap called Kevin with a slightly dodgy mullet or a guy called Rafa with a nice pair of glasses the drool emoji would be out in force. It's exactly the type of owner we need
  3. Not quite right.. There are taxes involved on any profit MA makes. The tweet is bullshit mind, HMRC wouldn't be involved yet but they do have an interest later
  4. So I need a Watford Win tomorrow, Villa to get a point against Arsenal, Man U to turn West ham over and then a final day shoot out between West Ham and Villa. Can see Bournemouth getting 6 points which takes there GD to a worst case scenario of -23. If I get Watford's win tomorrow but they then lose their last 2 it puts them on -23 at best. Both on 37 points So it's likely that the current bottom 3 are the 3 to go but those mix of fixtures could easily see one of West Ham or Watford drop. I wouldn't put much money on it. Despite the win today I see Leicester miss out on the top 4 with Chelsea turning Liverpool over to clinch their place and Man U winning on the last day edit - being daft with Watford there. the -23 assumed a 1-0 win tomorrow when of course it could be anything.
  5. I can't remember ASM taking unrealistic pot shots in previous games. Yes he's not afraid to shoot but not just for the sake of it. Almost as if he'd been told that Loris has a weakness for long shots and to shoot on sight by someone
  6. That's the face and point my 1 year old makes when he wants something
  7. Dubravka Lascelles, Fernandez, Schar Manquillo, Ritchie Benteleb, Shelvey Atsu Joelinton Gayle What a team!
  8. We're Ashley's Newcastle, what else is supposed to drive us? There'll never really be a final revenge, I'll probably always want them to be shit. Having them laugh at us, celebrating, at Villa Park, can't imagine it'll ever not be satisfying seeing their club going down. What is football about if not bitterness and grudges? Exactly this. I have wished ill will of them ever since that awful day. I can understand opposing fans taking the piss during the game, but it was all way too premeditated and organised. They'd gone to the trouble of making banners. It was a bit weird. It's not as though there was any bad blood between us, or we were local rivals. I reckon any team outside of the top 4-6 would have done the same. We were a big club going down having lost Keegan and hired Shearer in the same season. Basically the 2 people most of our fans idolise the most. We were ripe for the banners and mickey taking that day. We had our revenge, and Villa have suffered as much, if not more than we have since then. I'm all for taking the mick out of them if they go down again, but I'd so prefer it to be West Ham to drop (for reasons no better than most fans enjoying us go down)
  9. West Ham v Villa shootout on the last day hopefully. To misquote a film, whoever loses we all win. Could be the only thing of interest on the last day
  10. Bournemouth, Watford, Norwich. City's last 3 games. They need 16 goals to beat their own goals scored record. Wouldn't put a lot of money against them doing it
  11. The game? Remember having to copy down all the codes from the manual for the Spectrum game. Also, does anyone else remember the radio station that played spectrum and c64 games overnight so people could record them? A double deck tape player was also a vital bit of kit for copying spectrum games
  12. They were better last season but ruthless/lucky this. He will take them to 3rd next season and probably quarter finals in the Champions League, take a sabbatical then Barcelona or in a shock move take the German job after the Euros
  13. Newcastle 5 - 0 man utd I think Colo means after they've been crowned Champions. Might be wrong. That's how i interpreted it. If not then you'd probably be right, closely followed by 7 days later when they lost 6-3 at Southampton. Any time of the season was what I meant, forgot that Man U retained in 96/97 so had discounted the 5-0
  14. Wonder what the biggest loss suffered by league champions is in the season they won the league. Sure its bigger than this but it won't be far off
  15. People need to stop trying to justify piracy. I'd wager everyone on this forum has at least tried to stream a 3pm game, have downloaded a torrent or (one for the oldies) copied a CD. We all know its wrong but we've all done it. No justification and no judgment
  16. There's your fucking guard of honour....
  17. What should I do about the other games that Sky don't show, which are the vast majority? Should I just not watch them even though I know how to and they're available for free at the press of a button on my phone? Or should I take the stance of "Well I've paid SOMETHING, so I deserve to pirate these ones?" This is where the argument falls apart - just because you've paid for what is legally available doesn't mean to deserve to illegally obtain what isn't legally available. There is a fault in the system no doubt and without exception everyone on this forum has attempted to view a 3pm game at some point. The point is though we have no right to these games based on law and distribution of somebody else's property. Don't try to justify it, I won't judge anyone for doing it. It is what it is but we are seeing the impact of piracy right before our eyes.
  18. He's not at fault, and Pav is my favourite NUFC player but thats the type of shot that peak Given or Dubs makes a worldy to keep out
  19. Except that the victims of this piracy are now us fans as the takeover is stalled!
  20. That was my immediate thought but then wondered if sticking Dubs or Given in for the likes of the 4-3 Liverpool game might make more sense? Something a bit more open, they can affect it more by holding them to a couple less goals, rather than the fine margin of the Man U game? I was 6 at the time though so I could be completely wrong. Can you use all three gems in one match? If we win the Man U game its a 6 point swing, beating Liverpool is only 3. I also think Given or Dubs 100% save Cantona's shot and they had nothing else all game
  21. But how many managers who stay with a club after relegation bring them back up? It can't be many. Rafa an obvious one but he came in late and relegation wasn't on him. Despite the fact that Howe may deserve a crack at coming back up there is as strong an argument to say hes earned the right to leave with a relegation but his head held high. 10th in the Championship next season is going to erode so much of his legacy
  22. The answer is surely to pick up any one of 96/97 Shearer, 01-03 Given or current Dubs and put them in vs Man U in 96? We win that game we go on to win the league and history is changed forever
  23. West Ham still have Watford, and Villa to play, the only game you would be confident of them winning is Norwich. Lucky for them that Villa and Bournemouth have run ins just as bad. With Watford also playing Norwich you would think they stand a chance of getting 3 form there and then 1 from West Ham keeps them up. Of course both the W teams still have Brucie's world beaters to contend with
  24. Gosling's goal could well be Kluivert vs England (for Scotland) for one of Villa or West Ham (more Villa) or even Watford. One for the greater good, despite denying Dubs a clean sheet (and would it have been Krafth's first 0?)
