  1. Agree the above, obviously, but there must be more to it (more "ambitions / desires") to motivate him to buy us, than money. Put simply, if he wanted to just (continue to) make money - would he have invested in a football club?? It's not rocket science... SPORTS MERCHANDISING BUSINESS + FOOTBALL CLUB = BIGGER MARKET Sports Merchandising Business + Football Club + High Profile Marketable Players = Bigger Profits Brain Surgery tbh
  2. Also what happens next season if say Sunderland are fighting relegation and Keane persuades Beckham to come on loan for the last 5 games to get his fitness up for the Euros and they stay up? Beckham signed outside the window so inelligible, Sunderland stay up and argue that the precident has been set and only get fined a few million rather than get relegated. There needs to be a new rule written and brought in before the start of the season to remove this decision from precident imo
  3. aye,the lesson was learned "don't expect the premier league to act even handedly" did everyone know manu acted as an illegal third party aswell, they made everton drop tim howard for the game against them that won the title. I never got that one, I thought Howard was on loan to the Toffees last season and they agreed the full transfer outside of the window, therefore technically he was a Man U player until the end of the season as per the BEEB (14th Feb) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/e/everton/6362649.stm
  4. No excuse now, we know for sure who makes up the 20. Waiting to see the weighting of Toon games on Sky and Setanta before deciding which package to splash the cash on
  5. Remember Tino getting stretchered off in that game then acknowledging hois standing ovation. Was sat right by that corner flag too!
  6. Seems like a very strang epiece of test data though
  7. Build a time machine, go back to 1990 and bring Beardsley back. Or failing than spunk £40m on Tevez, Deco or similar
  8. f****** hell? Win an iPod video? Class. Exactly what I thought! Bet the parents are devastated. I want to know what "Mum" said in her outburst! I'm going to get mysel one of those mobility bikes in the sale!
  9. Thats why we are paying top dollar for Sam, if Everotn give him permission to talk then Sam has to persuade him to sign by any means necessary (like telling Rob Lee that Newcastle was closer to London than Boro)
  10. Depending on how much Beye and a left back cost I'd quite hapily pay up to £10m for Yobo
  11. Luque is being converted as we speak
  12. Arsenal have (according to SSN) agreed to buy the Croation/Brazilian Eduardo Da Silva from Zagreb. No mention of a fee and I know nowt about him so he could be a replacement for Henry or for Allialidere (sp).
  13. They could be going after an Espanyol player for all we know!
  14. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
  15. This isn't about bringing in A Hughes to partner Taylor or Roze etc Its about a decent backup player for peanuts who can adequately provide third tier cover for 3 positions
  16. Too effing right! Not as a first choice (or even first reserve) but someone who can adequately fill in 3 positions for £1m.
  17. Sorry, but my opinion still stands, Spurs last season went backwards as a team. Yes you scored more goals, yes you played more games. But you were over reliant on Berbatov. If you could marry the Spurs team play from 05-06 with Berbatov 06-07 you would get top 4
  18. Spurs went backwards last season imo They only finished 5th due to Berbatov, the season prior they were a better 'team' with less reliance on any one individual. Arsenal are in danger of having a poor season unless they can reverse the downward momentum there atm Liverpool will bore their way to the top 4 but offe rno real challenge to the top 2 Villa will be dangerous but (unless they strengthen this summer) will fall short Citeh have too far to go to challenge the top 4 this year West Ham will be pushing for promotion from the Fizzy Pop league (If there's any justice in the world) Blackburn will be worse this season if they lose Benni, will be the same if they don't Portsmouth will struggle Everton will have a tough season (no money, no new signings imminent) Its there for the taking. It could be said that like Citeh we have too far to go in one year, but unlike Citeh I feel that we had better players than them last season and were hampered by a crap manager. Its unlikely, but top 4 here we come1
  19. Poor Aaron. What's he done to deserve this? Made his debut against Roma, you know. Um. Where else can you get a player like him with a brain and two feet? Uness Roma have moved to the Nou Camp i believe it was Barcelona who Aaron made his debut against
  20. I will get one person to agree with me!
  21. Bring Aaron Hughes home I'm starting the campaign!
