Fitz Hall signs from QPR on loan for remainder of the season

I don't care if he pissed on your kids, as 4th choice he'll do very nicely. -
It's all from Hughton's press conference this morning I think.

Bit ironic that the strongest part of the team is where we've strengthened the most, although we literally had 5 senior defenders and 3 of them are crocked, so good job Ashley's done the necessary. And we've got some pace in midfield!! -

Happy this is only a loan, makes sense as long as he's back up to S Taylor/Colo/Williamson. -
We signed Ambrose in March 2003 but that's just me being pedantic, I guess the point still stands unless the rules have changed. You didn't get docked 10 points for going into administration back then so it's feasible that some other things have changed.

Jose out for a while? Or is he thinking of *gulp* cover? We've been after left back cover for a while, I think the way Kadar has filled out he's a centre back primarily now, he doesn't look lean enough to be a full back, likewise with Williamson. Sure they can cover there but if Enrique's out for a month that's 5 games or so, I think we'll be in the market for a young left back to back up Enrique in the long run

Taylor will be out for a "good period of weeks" but doesn't need an operation - Hughton
-
Hughton said in his press conference this morning we're trying to sign a centre back and a left back today. Not the Honduran lad. My guess would be Taylor and Fox.
-
Hughton's press conference today - Hope to make progress on Moses before deadline day, hoping to make progress on a centre back and a left back today.
-
He's only young and still developing, he might pick somewhere he's going to get the chance to get games instead of going somewhere like Spurs and stagnating due to getting no match time.
-
I heard some half baked story at the match, Lockwood was on Century pre-game and had passed Moses in the tunnell, who had been told to "get changed, the deal's fallen through." I can't make sense of it, did anybody actually hear it?
-
He'll piss this league against teams who lump it, he's bigger than most. Him against Howard on Saturday should be interesting.
-
It really isn't right that Guthrie and Routledge were played out of position to keep Nolan on. I assume they'd tried Pancrate in training at right back before Williamson signed.

Nowhere near, about a foot or so over

What an awful game of football. If we'd won 1-0 with the own goal it would have summed it up perfectly, but Ranger took his chance well having missed a good chance with a header earlier. Harper - Had very little to do but save a few long range strikes, good handling. Kadar - Started at right back and wasn't involved much. Moved to left back and attacked a bit but was good defensively, not much of an attacking threat. Coloccini - Good, still strong. One error with the Palace sub, but he decided that wasn't going to lead to anything by wiping him out off the ball Williamson - Attacks everything. Similar to Taylor but bigger and...smarter. Was easy for him because he was much bigger than their striker. Enrique - Can't pass but he makes Jonas tick. We were a much poorer team without him. Nolan - Shite. But a bit better than his usual shite. But still shite. Smith - Better than against WBA but not brilliant. Jonas - Quiet, missed Enrique. Guthrie - Worked his arse off, barely gave the ball away all night to be honest. Lovenkrands - Looked bright early on but faded. Carroll - Got kicked, pulled, pushed and barged to the ground, kept going and did his bit for the team but probably should do better in the box, the first goal was down the other end but his header should be on target, fortunately it turned out Shaun Derry is shit. Pancrate - Looked awful for the first 10 minutes at right back, was very good second half though, even crossed well Routledge - Quick, direct, dangerous, can pass - Very useful signing on this cameo. Ranger - Got his goal and gets into the positions to score, suited him playing with Routledge on the break. Palace were alright, looked every bit the side that was 11th and better defensively that some who have visited SJP this season. That said they looked pretty toothless up top and Ambrose does everything for them. Was quite a nervous atmosphere tonight, not really getting on the players back but no noise at all, except from the boys and girls in level 7 who were great as ever. Good 10 minutes of "we're Newcastle and we're going to win the league" or whatever it is, impressive.

David Craig said last week that a promotion chasing side was in for him, the crafty old badger.

They don't have the rights to FA cup highlights, so no for our game.
