I guess the only good thing to take from GG's post (I tend to trust GG on all matters Championship) is that a lot of teams will take points off each other.

The amount of players who transfer in and out of Championship clubs over the summer is usually pretty high, it's far too early to tell yet as madras said. Also there's usually about 12 challengers until March, then inevitably a few fall away. It's going to be annoying as fuck.

I think he was happy to coast along not being blamed in a mid-table side, as soon as relegation became a really big possibility he tried to take responsibility. Got to do a lot more than that to win me over and I don't really care if he stays or not

I've tried to think of the positives, but there's obviously so many negatives. Here's what I came up with: Positives: Should be a clear out of players Summer might be exciting in terms of player movement unlike the rare news days from last year. We might (might) win some games next year! Being out of the spotlight will be of great benefit to everybody connected with the club. Cheaper tickets? More games (guess this could be a negative if we're still shit) A fresh start. Negatives: The loss of TV money The inevitable loss of players such as Bassong and Enrique Nicky Butt, Shola Ameobi, Kevin Nolan & Ryan Taylor will still be here. Us not being on MOTD! (get rid of this negative depending on what the Beeb's highlights package will be like) Relegated teams often take a long time to adapt to the ways of the Championship. The mackems are the only North East Club in the Premiership, if they have any sense they'll get themselves noticed in as many of the "50/50" areas of the North East and convert a few young minds. The longer we're down the more chance there is they will become a stronger proposition. And worst of all: We won't be on the next PES. Shit the bed, I hate football.

Sheffield United were a very efficient side this season, players like Doris are proven in this division and they seemed to have a massive young hungry squad. I thought they played well when I saw them, whereas I though Wolves were a shocking side who seemed to do well only because they had one creative outlet and a striker who could score. A creative outlet AND a striker who can score? Fucking hell it's going to be a long 12 months

Depends on prices. Cup games against Championship opposition were typically £20. Whether that will be maintained now that we are Championship fodder is to be seen

Season starts a week before the Premiership - August 8th. Feel the positivity. Woop de doo. Let's get promoted, and then enjoy the World Cup. Feel the burn.

That doesn't surprise me one bit

£200m? That's a lot of Championship quality players and mercenaries

I'm not doubting Dowie's medical qualifications but I swear in the Chronicle last week he was quoted saying Carroll had done his ligaments?
-
Loven & Shola both were against Fulham
-
Isn't Krul meant to have lost a bit of confidence since the shoulder injury he got at Falkirk?
-
Which uni are you at?

Keeping with the dream stories, I dreamt we were 1-0 down and we got a pen in stoppages, Shola was stepping up to take it but my alarm went off. Thankfully.
-
Pretty sure Fulham needed to win on the last day last season, were 2-0 down at half time, brought it back to 2-3 in the last minute of the game. That was a game or two earlier away at Man City. On the last day they won at Pompey I think 1-0

Shola was on the bench on Saturday anyway. Subs Not Used: Krul, Coloccini, Smith, Ameobi. So if you take Bassong and probably Beye out of the team, and Carroll out of the 18, you're left with possible replacements: Owen (if fit) Enrique (if fit) Edgar (saw him with MC Harvey on my way into SJP on Sat) Ranger Geremi Realistic options anyway.

Sarcasm? Orange is not blue

Must be so he can sit in the home end and applaud FYP

Last year he was one of the 3 anchors and Ed Chamberlain did Soccer "Sunday." Probably be the same this year.
-
2nd half will just be kicking off in fairness

Yes, he's ex-Southampton
