What I enjoy about this is that you live in Korea, and Rick Astley was playing. In Korea.

Wasn't it something ridiculous like Mourinho put him in his fantasy football team?

Beckford to Bolton was in the Mirror and some of the local Lancashire rags, just google Jermaine Beckford Bolton and sort by date, all speculation as usual. Hardly "close to a done deal"

I thought Bolton had no cash? Hence why they want to loan Nolan

The Sven thing came at the start of Robson's last season. Sven was saying he was looking at Shola for the friendly with Ukraine, came on at Boro on the opening day on the left wing and looked like Pele, but injured his hip and missed out on the squad.

There will be no "proper" deals done in a hurry, Ashley clearly only wants loans and frees and he can get them afer Tuesday. Unless we get taken over deadline day is going to be a very quiet one.

rosstoon said last week was Shearer's last, when has an ITK ever been wrong?

Knackered foot for Shola, pulled hamstring for Jonas
Ashley17 replied to captainhaircut's topic in Football
Why is Xisco out? Is he injured or is it because he's gay? He has a groin strain, although that doesn't necessarily answer your question -
Vuckic has a lot of potential apparently, let's play him as well. I like the idea that Krul can compete for the place but the fact is Harper doesn't deserve to be dropped, play Krul in the cup games yes but in the league - where keeping a clean sheet seeing as we have no strikers is pretty vital - let's stick with the safe option. For now anyway.

Dave said this to me earlier: I can't figure out what he's getting at though?

Shola hasn't bee ruled out...he's very doubtful. In NUFC terms this means he is crippled though. Unless we get a surprise loan/free signing today (like we did Simpson a few weeks back) it'll be Ranger supported by Guthrie/Nolan you would think. Guthrie was more advanced than Nolan in the first half on Wednesday and according to the radio was much further upfield than Nolan on Saturday at Palace, so I'd expect something like: Ranger Nolan Guthrie R Taylor Barton Smith

Certainly seems to me that somebody has seen him with a cast on his foot and gone "OMG it's broken" - which to be fair isn't the most illogical conclusion -

http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/4570053.Magpies_aim_to_hang_on_to_Nolan/ Calm down guys, Sholagol speaks: Amoebi remained optimistic about his chances of leading the line against the Foxes, despite having to wear a plastic support cast on his ankle after Wednesday’s game. “I just fell on it, landed on it funny and felt a little pop in there, so hopefully I haven’t done much damage,’’ he said. “But it’s calmed down a bit now so I’m hoping it’s nothing serious. It’s important for us to keep everyone fit and healthy But that'll be bollcoks no doubt because it's relatively ok news and it's in the paper. With quotes. Whereas bad news with no quotes is nailed on fact. -
Owen vs Martins ffs AC vs Real & Barca vs Inter. Good times

Was a weird match, even at 3-1 down I never had "that sinking feeling" but that may have been down to the fact that if we'd gone out it wouldn't have been a disaster due to our tiny squad. Krul - Comes for everything, when he gets there it's great, when he doesn't we concede. Looked a blatant dive by Robinson (?) for their pen, you could tell by Krul's reaction anyway. R Taylor - Average, some decent freekick's into the box Kadar - Didn't look steady at all, but his debut paired with a full back won't have helped. Simpson - Hmm, wouldn't like to see him at CB very often. Enrique - Great, world's strongest man tbh. Geremi - Good for him, nice finish, actually played 90 minutes and is a decent option every now and again. Butt - I just don't think he's very good. Nolan - Still heavy, was good 2nd half but pretty anonymous first Guthrie - Good goal, passing is a bit wayward sometimes, keeps things ticking Kazenga - A very young and very quick Jonas Ranger - Strong and jumps well but is nowhere near the finished article obviously, some promising moments (actually gets in the positions to score) Subs: Shola - Best player ever. Injured? Jonas - Got kicked a lot, made stuff happen. Them: Number 9 is a cheat, but that's football. Played some decent football at times and were clinical. And cynical.

Maetihs and his constant WUMing...and subsequently that night that "Nixon" on the Blackburn forum was going to reveal a big Newcastle story (Aimar), where someone registered on their forum as Maetihs and came out with "IF YOU SMELLALALALALALAALALALOW what maetihs is cooking" Still makes me laugh now, it was so ridiculous

Tickets didn't arrive, rang the box office and they've duplicated them for me to pick up. I'll have to go after work, want to go before there's big queues. Does anyone know which box office it is? And will I need the card I bought them on or anything?

Funny that, I ordered mine on Thursday night and they came Saturday. Urgh...worrying. They took the money from my account on the 21st (Friday), not really sure if that's good news or not.
