Think he misses Watford but I'm not sure
-
Baba has 5 yellows but what happened when van Persie got 5 yellows? He didn't miss the match against us because it was 6 days after he got it and not 7...so Baba will miss the Watford match...right? Mosley/Aphro any idea?
-
Typically though, when we were a top 4 team we got all this "Newcastle are everyone's second favourite team" bullshit, and so even less people liked us. It's water off a ducks back tbh it's just funny because it's us.
-
Nah, we're just the luckiest team in the history of football - every goal we score is offside or we we committed deadly sins in the build up. Every goal the opposition score is a master class or due to a defensive error, because our defence is shit, as we're often reminded. Oh yeah and we'd lose a lot more if we didn't have Shay Given, because if we didn't we'd play 11 outfield players - he's just irreplaceable you see. Fuckin hate the media

If that's not the funniest thing I read today, I will be an unbelievably happy man
-
Who cares what that goon thinks, we got 3 points and he couldn't manage England Under 21's.
-
Assuming everyone who went off today is out and nobody but Carr is back, and assuming Glenn does his usual 4-5-1 for hard away game: Given Carr Taylor Ramage Baba Clark Butt N'Zogbia Milner Luque Martins Although Rossi would probably play instead of Luque Or 4-4-2 with Rossi for Clark, Luque on the left, Butt and Zog in the middle and Rossi up top obviously, but that for me is just a suicide team.
-
Butt sounded immense on the wireless. I consider him forgiven.
-
If we sign him now he can't play till Jan 1st, like Keane and Celtic if you remember

Explain simple he played milner out of postion,he is no nobby solano though pattison was a waste,he show a bit good stuff and a bit bad aswell, couldve sealed the win but his shot was horrible he couldve taken more advantage of them game, attack more instead of set back and defend, this season we lost two games by the score of 2-1 thanx to the fact that our seconed half if often very poor, today was not a day to bring the likes of rossi and pattison on,maybe giving luque who is more experinced some time wouldve been much better.. if brad friedel got his head to the ball that wouldve been a game to remember What did you want him to do soccer master? Taylor was struggling with an injury and that's why Huntingdon didn't come on immediately, so Milner dropped in to right back and Rossi on the wing. Sibierski then got an injury in a block challenge and then Huntington came on, went in to right back and Milner pushed on. Where's the problem? Or would you rather have had Luque at right back? not really, wouldve rather see him play at LW the pattison! also he is a winger,he couldve replaced solano and play at the right wing, sure he is left footed but so is rossi, who we won't even get anything from when he leaves in january of course bringing huntington on was the rite thing to do,thought he looked solid,we should give him more chances.. Ah yes, so he replaces Solano and goes to right wing and Milner goes to right back, which you just complained about. Pattison was a lot more likely to defend and get stuck in and even break sweat than Luque was, good decision by Roeder in my book. Have people playing who actually want the best for the club.

I suppose, but given his injury record he would be fucked up pretty quickly in a fight

http://www.nufc.com/html/bezdiary1.html is that particular quote http://www.nufc.com/html/bezdiary-intro.html is the whole lot

Ginola From Bez's diaries on nufc.com "Before the game Kenny had dropped Ginola to the bench and David was fuming. When Kenny gave the teamtalk David sat cross-legged and put on some earphones. He then started filing his nails while Dalglish spoke to us."

The good thing is he's nearly always wrong. He'll get 8 out of 10 one week in twenty, headlines "LAWRO DOES IT AGAIN", the next week he gets 1 out of 10 and it's like Man Utd at home to Watford and nothing is said. I think we'll get something if we keep Shabani Nonda quiet, he wasn't £15m 3 seasons ago for nothing, and I think he'll kick on from here, because he's got the lot. I don't remember the last time Lawro said we'd win. I actually don't. Every week it's "Newcastle can't score and can't defend, so I can't see them winning" yet he usually predicts we'll draw 2-2 at home despite the frailty in front of goal he just pointed out. He's a dick.
-
Except he didn't. He scored the winner in the 3-2 back in October, we weren't behind in that game at any point.
-
We have 42 games in hand on most, I like our chances
-
Where's the confidence and belief?
-
Well obviously we're not totally fucked as, like you say, the season ends in 5 months, not tomorrow. But it could be the difference between a mid table push and relegation scrap.
-
That's essentially what I'm getting at. If we win tomorrow people will see us climbing the table and the belief will slowly return. Defeat and we've lost to a promoted side at home again, we'll be 18th with tough games to come and there's no cup games to boost the confidence. That's what I meant about a page ago about tomorrow being vital
-
Well given that if we lose we're 18th with trips to Blackburn and Chelsea to come and then a relegation 6 pointer with Watford, I'd say we'd be more towards the fucked side of things than usual.
-
It's unlucky for the other team as they have no time to respond. If the goal cannoned off the guys knee and went in then it's lucky. It was a free kick, so fair play to him it was probably good.
-
Depends how optimistic you are as to how bad the Charlton result is. On the plus - it's easier to catch Blackburn, you may aswell have the home sides winning these kind of games, as you would hope/expect them to lose away. On the negative it brings the bottom club closer to us, but like I said, if you're optimistic we could win tomorrow and be 14th with games in hand (...Chelsea away) over those around us. Bottom line is, if we lose tomorrow we're fucked.
