Champions League Draw - Results of draw and player awards in first post
Taylor Swift replied to Decky's topic in Football
Real and Juve. Good stuff. A rivalry that's been missed. -
Becoming a bit of an underrated league now but there's still loads of quality on display.
-
I am actually starting to feel a bit nervous about the size of our squad. And this is the first time that I've been worried about transfers with this new set-up in place.
-
worser, worsest.. James

I'd take Lennon for around 8m or so. Basically whatever money we get from Milner, I'd use it to fund a bid for Lennon. Lennon's a dude who can stretch games and give us more options when counter-attacking. Milner has pretty much fuck all end product as well but he's slow as fuck and holds up the ball far too often. Even if Lennon never improves his crossing, his dribbling and direct play will have a bigger impact on our matches than whatever skill Milner possesses.

If Liverpool buy him mackems.gif God bless Rafa.

Barry's worth 12-14m, at the most. Milner's also only worth 6m or so. The transfer market is nuts.
-
If he don't get a good fee, we don't need to sell him. The last time this shit happened, he was at Villa's training ground yet still ended up having a decent season for us. So, if we don't sell him, I think he'll still be a dependable player and might even be convinced to stay if our form continues to be good.

Tapped up by M'ON is another possibility. That and the contract thing. Either of which would mean he's a total tosser.
-
What the fuck? Started every match so far, signed a new contract last year. Something wrong with the kid.
-
The timetable at the railway station being Manchester's main attraction mackems.gif Fucking hilarious. Partly true, as well. Beautiful city but he sure is right about the rain and clouds.

Alan Smith (my MotM) will prove to be more important than Geremi

Optimism is a son of a bitch. Fuck Gotta be aware of what you write on here at the start of each season. -
What would the reaction be if we lost tonight's game? I could see it happening; not because we're in bad form or something, but we might underestimate them. Anyway, I think this is a Mickey Mouse cup and it'll be no biggie if we end up getting knocked out early. The league and the FA Cup is far more important and with the small and fragile squad that we have, it wouldn't be the biggest of disasters to lose today.

Acc on City and Chelsea came off. Think that was 4/1. Got 5 on Pompey beating Man Utd today at 5/1.

10 minutes have been added on. What the fuck? The time indicator on my screened is fucked

Might be the first meeting in a while that all of them will be at together (Wise, Jimenez, Vetere, Keegan and Ashley). Seems Vetere and Jimenez have been scouting players and obviously KK has been busy with the first-team. The meeting will probably be about transfers ie. Vetere, Jimenez and Wise discuss potential purchases with Keegan and finalise the choices (eg. Saviola first choice, Derdiyok second choice etc.) and then transfer team go off and have 4 days to complete the deals.

Kompany has looked really composed. Distribution has been spot-on, as well.
-
Yeh some builder i heard. Glad Spammers and Arsenal also lost this week. I heard = wiki

Sturridge, 1-0. Quality strike.
-
Second yellow card for Mark Noble. WH down to 10 men. Sturridge is catching the eye for Man City, and they've hit the post/bar a couple of times already. Petrov's also been a bright spark. WH have been awful.
-
Might make it back for the home game against Hull. If he's not fully fit by then, then there's no need to risk him; I think we'll be good enough to beat Hull without him. Game after that is West Ham away and he loves it there.

Agree with most of Baggio's ratings except the Milner one. He started slow but in the second half, when he played in Duff's position, he was better. We were just really slow all game and that's something that needs working on. Whenever we tried to play faster, some dipshit (Duff, especially) would fuck up the momentum by holding the ball for too long, passing it back or simply just losing the ball. Generally, though, we've got some good players but it's not coming together yet. Other teams will come to St. James' and do the same thing so we must pass the ball quicker and better.
