  1. We should also contact Stoke to ask for a partial refund as we didn't see a full game, i know we did but think it would be funny if the postman delivers a 1000 letters all asking for a refund!

    Obafemi Martins

No real loss, he's been crap most of this season, i've questioned his commitment to the cause and his desire since he took months to return from his hernia op, he went to the same doctor in Germany for the same operation that Shearer, Bellamy, Given all had and they were all back playing inside 2 weeks!!!

That is correct Binnsy. The Sunderland reserve captain is a Crammy lad (Colback) I know there is poster on here who knows him but cant remember who. Another England U17 international at SAFC Liam Noble is from Crammy as well. Nixon, Just because I know you like this sort stuff I have saved you the hassle http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/friends/?id=522943387 yes 5 of my nephews cramlington juniors team were signed up by the time they were 12, one went to NUFC, 2 to the mackems and 2 to hartlepool. Although one that went to sunderland has come back this year and one of the lads who went to hartlepool have come back. Funniest one though is a lad who by the time he was 11 or 12 had been signed for the mackems only to be chucked out for fighting, NUFC signed him when he was released and he was then kicked out by us for his bad attitude, he's also been kicked out by Crammy!! Must be some kind of record.....could be a future superstar but is a complete idiot!!

Where do you find that? Any word on our intake? We struggle to get information out of our club regarding our first team so it might need some digging to find out NUFC's intake!! I think the mackems have taken a few lads from cramlington juniors into there academy, all kind of ages. I presume the ones on that list are the going on the first year of the scholarships, similar to the old YTS.

The recruitement process won't change just cos Wise has gone, the infrastructure and scouting network has now being set up. The recruitement will not be an issue compared to relegation, if we go down we won't have the PL reserve league to play in and will have to try and develop our young players against the likes of Barnsley, Hartlepool reserve side, whereas our kids play against similar aged players currently, god knows what kind of reserve players are in the championship and league 1 & 2 teams!

lol that makes 3 of us, i saw him go down, thought the ref had gave a pen but tuened away when he booked him for diving, he wasn't too happy and went towards the ref, my dad wasn't sure if he pushed the ref but he was in the refs face, think he should've been sent off tho. He was a canny player as well, loved a stepover, he done more of them than Ronaldo!

a cant see any reason why we need to play a tall guy. the best way to beat a team when you cant pass a ball very well is not by starting a 20 year old next to an out of form striker and punting balls at him, and its even more wrong to try and do that against a team like stoke who play long ball football much better than we do because that's all they have. we need to keep the ball against stoke, regressing to long ball football is what they want. A very good ,well-made point...I don't see playing route 1 against Stoke doing us any favours. It's playing to their strengths... Playing Carroll doesn't necessarily mean we have too play long ball football, he's decent on the deck and will give us an outlet as he can hold the ball up, plus bearing in mind the team we are playing, who's strength is set pieces and high balls, his aeriel ability will come in handy at both ends of the pitch. I would play Carroll but i wouldn't be telling the team to launch it route one all the time, i want us to get the ball out wide and get to the bye line and get crosses in.

To stay Xisco is terrible is simply wrong so it's not a very good argument. Gave him a chance in the first team and he may regain his confidence to get back to his best. Ranger is an unknown quantity, if he was brought on in the last ten minutes against Chelsea what difference would it have made if he was ****? Owen, Martins, Lovenkrands and Carroll aren't exactly 'scoring for fun', as you put it, are they? Xisco doesn't even look a good player playing against 17-18 year olds in the reserve league, he's weak as water he was struggling to kick the ball 40 yards when trying to hit cross field balls, there's 13 year olds in my nephews team at cramlington juniors stronger than him! He'd be the last player i'd want on a pitch against a team like Stoke, someone like Faye or Shawcross would probably snap him when they hit him! Even if you don't think he's terrible you can't throw a player into a relegation battle so he may regain his confidence!! thats madness. Maybe not play him against Stoke but I don't think crap players get picked for Spain U21s so I don't think he should be written of. Shola played for England under 21's so i wouldn't use that argument!!

I know what Ranger is, i've seen him in about 25 games, if he was showing his pre xmas form i would say put him on the bench but he's not in that form now and Carroll is in better form, hence he was on the bench and has scored twice tonight, don't even think Nile had a shot.

i'd play Owen up front with Carroll and shove Martins out on the wing.

I've said for a few that we will burn out Ranger and Tavernier, both are still playing ok but not as good as before xmas, they're both just 17 but playing saturday/monday every week.

Another enjoyable game tonight and an excellent win, Carroll's first goal was fantastic, lashed in a shot from just inside the box, on the angle into the top corner. Took his 2nd goal well also after being played in by Ranger, after i said on here earlier that he needs to lift his head up and pass more!lol I was impressed with Vukic as well when he come on and he looks like a top player in the making. Smith also had a steady game in the middle of the park. Guthrie's injury is a bit of a worry altho think he should be ok, just seemed a kick on the ankle from Hamann, the german was lucky to keep out the referees notebook tho after about 4 similar fouls. Must also praise Danquah who isn't my favourite but he was excellent in a central midfield role today, probably the best i've seen him play. One last thing, can the people who are on here everyday wanting Xisco and Ranger please stop, Xisco was woeful again and is a terrible player, he's weak as piss and is not a premier league striker and Ranger is a good prospect but we aren't going to throw him in when we have the likes of Owen, Martins, Lovenkrands and Carroll available and for those saying he's scorong for fun he's only scored 2 goals in the last 9 reserve games and he's only scored 1 for the under 18's since the turn of the year!!!! hardly banging them in and on top form!!

    Nile Ranger

i only saw Macheda for 90 mins but even in that time you could tell he was streets ahead of Nile, Nile's been on the bench when we've been hit with injuries but is still raw and has a lot to learn, mainly lifting his head and passing the ball!!! macheda was only on the bench due to Man U having no one else and was then thrown on cos they were desperate for a goal and luckily he's scored a cracker.

Man City sending a strong team tonight with Benjani, hamann and Petrov in the team, from what i think Ben Mee and Weiss are 2 of there really good youngsters from their youth cup side and they're also playing. We are unbeaten at home in the league since losing to the mackems on the first game of the season, hopefully we will avoid defeat in our last home game of the season.

tonights reserve game is set to include the likes of Krul, Edgar, smith, guthrie, xisco, carroll and ranger. rest of team likely to be Tavernier, Lough, Ferguson and Donniger in a 433 Krul tav Edgar lough fergie guthrie smith donniger xisco carroll ranger City are expected to have Petrov in there side making his comeback from injury, with the good youngsters like Sturridge for them it should be a cracking game.
  17. Nothing in the sunday papers but i heard yesterday that Keegan has dropped his court case with NUFC. I have no idea whether its just gossip, rumour or fact tho!
  18. i'd play Carroll up front next week with Owen and stick martins on the wing. We'll need his height to combat Stoke's aerial bombardment.

It is a problem I don't think he needs to worry about for while if at all. haha spence, you beat me to it!
  20. Everyone is shitting themselves until we go 1 up, you can feel the tension. The Arsenal game proves 17:30 kick offs are better for atmosphere as more people turn up jolly after a few beers. i wished all our Saturday games kicked off 1730, the only decent atmospheres now are when people get the extra drinking time to get pissed up or ref drops a bollock and sends someone off, like when Beye got sent off against man city.

Only seen him a couple of times, the youth game against Leeds and his brief appearance against man u, he's quick but the game i saw he was a bit of headless chicken and his final ball and crossing was abysmal. I wouldn't worry about missing out on any of Dennis Wise's young imports, the only one who looks any good is Vuckic. Not sure where todays game was played but the last few have been at the training ground, if todays game was played there then its not suprising that SHearer & Dowie watched the game.
  23. i think its one of them them songs that would be good home or away, type you could get going round the ground and gettting louder and louder. Think would be class at an away game with everyone bouncing as they sing it.
  24. Now we have Shearer back.... Hello and welcome to the Toon Army We're a little bit mental and a bit barmy Planes and trains and football games, we travel round the world In cities, squares and fountains with our Newcastle flags unfurled I love sex and drugs and sausage rolls But nothing compares to an Alan Shearer goal I love sex and drugs and sausage rolls But nothing compares to an Alan Shearer goal
