Folan looked good at centre half last night, thought him and Morris were excellent.

You can pay on the gate tonight. -
Home game with Boro has been switched to the Sunday, 20th December, Live on BBC. Typical we always have a good day on the drink as a kind of xmas party on the last home game before xmas, had it all planned for the Saturday night!

Ferguson and Inman played for an hour last night, think they'll be there for the ride and best they can hope for is place on the bench. -
biggest problem with the carling cup is you don't know how strong the line ups of the premier league team are going to be.

i fancy a pumped up Leeds backed with radged up Elland road crowd to cause an upset against Liverpool, especially if Liverpool rest the likes of Torres, Gerrard, Carragher etc

Peter Beardsley. Not that unexpected, he's one of the most promising youngsters we've got, was tremendous last season for the reserves and after missing the first few game of the season with injury was very good in the home reserve game against Bradford when no doubt he'd have impressed the watching Hughton. Yeah, he was great against Bradford along with LuaLua he looked a level above the rest of our players. I have hardly seen him play but against Bradford he seemed to love to get forward even more than the midfielders. yes he does like to bomb forward, with Adjei playing rubbish on the right wing Tav seemed to play right back and right wing in the Bradford game! -

No idea who Liam Henderson is, never heard of him or seen him play. Could be a mistake with the name, i know there is a centre half who's played a few times for the reserves called Jeff Henderson, could be one for ObiChris to sort out! Tonights game wasn't too bad, late equaliser from an OG kept our unbeaten home record of just over a year intact. I thought our young lads done ok against a big physical Lincoln side. Reserve games this season are completely different to what the lads are used to from previous seasons, much more of a physical battle up against hardened, streetwise old pros. First half wasn't too good, Ferguson having the best two chances for us, first one a curling effort just wide and then when played through by Danquah, the keeper came out quickly to smother his shot. Lincoln took the lead early in the second half when their right winger skipped past Lough and hit a good low shot that squirmed under Soderberg and into the net, although it was wet the keeper should've saved it. We fought back well with Ameobi forcing two good saves from their keeper before Danquah's cross was headed into his own net from one of the Lincoln defenders. Airey was back at right back after playing centre forward in the last few games and played well and Morris and Folan were excellent at centre backs, first time i've seen Folan play and was impressed.

its a cup game, i'd much prefer Butt playing than risking Smith, Guthrie and Nolan before Ipswich. -

Bit strange that we haven't postponed the reserve game on Monday bearing in mind most of the reserve team will be on duty at Peterborough. If i was picking the team i'd go for a bit of a new line up and play the following, play the 4-2-3-1 formation that Liverpool use KRUL GEREMI COLO SIMPSON KADAR BUTT BARTON or DONALDSON LUA LUA VUKCIC BAHENG LOVENKRANDS subs Harper, Tozer, Tavernier, Inman, Nolan, Guthrie & Ranger Can't see Hughton doing it tho, but think that team would work well, Butt & Barton to sit and protect and let the youth and energy of the 3 young lads to support lovenkrands. -
Who's bright idea was it too have the Academy game kicking off at 1pm 2moro, stops anyone who's going to the Plymouth game from watching both games. Still possible but makes it tight, much better to have an 11am ko then you've still got time to get into town for a couple of pints and catch Burnley beat the mackems.
-
we've got one, he's called haris Vuckic.
-
good manager, he took his last team into the champions league, he was a top player as well till he lost his leg when a shark attacked him and bit it off just below the knee. Eric Openshaw is a bit like Fat Fred, bit of a baffoon really but built is last club up from nothing and transformed them all on the back of his pork scratching business!!
-
i wasn't meaning in goals scored just in general Butt is better in the air than Geremi.
-
Heading the ball. He's better in the air.
-
Geremi is a joke of a player and the last player i want in the team. he's gash.
-
Their second goal killed it? no - bringing off Barton and Guthrie and leaving Butt on the pitch killed it. 4-5-1 killed it. going to play devils advocate and switch it slightly, i hate Butt as much as the next person but the abuse and blame is getting dafter. We were poor going forward and weren't creating much, from what i've seen from watching Newcastle and Guthrie & Barton, those 2 are supposedly two of our creative players, as we weren't creating much perhaps the manager thought it better to leave the defensive midfielder ON the pitch and replace the 2 so called creative players who were creating FUCK ALL!!? just a thought but no doubt it'll still be Butts fault.
-
just seen the highlights, looked a blatant pen for us for a handball off Colocinis shot, 0-0 at the time, would've been a pen and red card and probably changed the whole game.

Exactly, he's just comeback and scored and people are dropping him already!! lol -
thought both there goals were lucky, Harper should really have pushed it behind or out to the side, went straight back but virtually just hit Ormerod and richocheted into the net and the 2nd goal was a scrambled messy affair.

How on earth can you come on here and say that when you haven't even been there and watched the game, you have no idea if he played well or not. How is that relevant? lucky for me I've seen every minute of 85% of the games from the last 2 seasons, and know he's dogshite, not fit for sunday league you are saying people need a slap thinking he would play well, you weren't there so you don't know if he was good bad or indifferent! 85% bit of a odd % of games you've seen!
-
this thread wouldn't even be happening if we'd won tonight but the idiots on here have to find a scapegoat and seeing that Butt's came in and we've lost its all his fault!!! Don't get me wrong i wouldn't have him in the team if i was picking it but the reaction to Butt on here is just mental and completely OTT.
