centre back is a must, someone like Shittu would do a job for us for £2m. Yes i know he's not brilliant or anything but he big and strong and will give us a presence at the back which we are sorely lacking.

i can confirm he has a hell of a dig on his left foot, he can certainly strike a good ball. He'll do a decent job this season, he can hold the ball up ok and if we get decent balls into the box(big if i know) not many will beat him in the air.

Actually don't think we should go too overboard on the lad, we can't pin our hopes on a 16 yr old kid even if it is obvious that he has some quality and has the potential to be a top player but youth level games and reserve games are alot different to the hustle and bustle of proper football league games, luckily he's a big lad so hopefully will be able to handle the physical side of the game.

I count only one, Kinnear. He was injured for the bulk of Shearer's time No he wasn't he was fit and lumbering about in the reserves, even scored a few goals when Shearer was manager. Hughton had plenty games when he could have picked him as well. Hughton picked him to play 4 times didn't he? When did he score goals with Shearer boss? He was injured for the duration of April and some of May, making selection for Shearer pretty unlikely He scored a few for the reserves near the end of the season, couple of pens and a few tap ins, might have finished with about 5 goals in the end. Whilst Shearer was boss, he scored 2 against Ashington in mid-may after returning from an injury which kept him out for 6 weeks. Nobody is desputing that Kinnear ignored him, but it's unfair to say that the other managers followed suit He scored 2 against Wigan and think one of the pens was against Man U, when macheda scored his hat-trick 4 days before he came off the bench to get the winner for Man U against Villa. i've had the fortune to witness every goal Xisco has scored so far for NUFC!!

Toon ace Ranger floors Spartans, haha not quite he was only on the pitch for about 15 mins max, only touched the ball about a dozen times!!! could've had a hat trick mind, went close with two other efforts before he scored

i pick shola over Xisco everytime, infact i'd even pick Shola with a fucked hip ahead of Xisco. Xisco is woeful, can't believe people still say give him a chance, 3 managers have came into the club, seen him and ignored him, surely that tells you everything you need to know!!

Started like you'd expect an Argentinian international to perform when he looked quality against Darlo but has been a disgrace in the last 2 games. not against Leeds he wasn't. He never stopped running in the first half, looked by far our biggest threat biggest threat?? how many shots? how many crosses did he put over? how many through balls did he play? i would run all day if i was playing for NUFC, i wouldn't be any good to the team though. It would however mean you're interested, and you just accused him of not being i would be interested if i was selected for Saturday and can confidently say i would run myself into the ground and sweat blood for the cause....something i don't think Jonas will/would do.

And Jonas does?!? moreso than Kazenga Lua Lua. Jonas is a useful player to have in the team for his defensive attributes, not that he'll shine Kazenga wants to play for us and is hungry Jonas doesn't and isn't. based on what? Based on watching them play in the pre seasons games.
