was it the NUFC fans who booed barton? I only read one match report and it said Bartons every touch booed by the locals.

Out of interest, how would you see these votes working? via email maybe? we put out a vote on email asking you to give your views, members reply and depending on the results (which are also on the website to be viewed) action is then taken. If, as this one was its clear which way the members want to go then theres nothing further to do. What timescales do you think these things run to? we put a vote out, give it a week for reply then take those replies and formulate a motion, call a meeting, arrange it, get everyone there a week later and ask them the same question again but in person this time? oh but hold on, what about the high percentage of members that live outside the region? how could we get them to vote? I know, as well as running the motion at the meeting we'll ask them via email oh hold on we already have. Now no offence but Ive asked you three times for your membership number and name so we can ensure that you are receiving all the stuff you should be, for some reason you dont seem to be in a position to supply that info. If it was me and Id paid a tenner to be part of something and then heard nowt from them Id sure as hell be on their backs trying to see whats going on. On finding other members had been getting information and I hadnt then I would also be chasing up why not and giving my details to someone who could help that out. Did you say that NUSC have sent 30 or40 emails to members this season? i think i've received about 3!!

Barton should be training and playing at the minute. He's employed by the club, we can't let him rot(even if we wanted too), what happens if Shearer doesn't get the job and the new manager wants to play him in the first couple of games? he needs to be match fit, it will also help him get sold as no one will buy an unfit player!!
-
I've no idea what this will mean in the short term but think its a good positive step forward for the NUSC.... http://www.nusc.org.uk/full_news.php?newsid=59

Pretty much where i am just about 20 rows up. Great view and if memory serves an area that tends to have a fair few match to match tickets, theres an entire row in front of me with them. Looks like they arent chucking out ST seats yet then Sounds good, i have a decent seat in the leazes at the minute, middle tier row Q but all the lads have been dotted around for years, another one in the leazes, 2 right down the bottom of the gallowgate, one at the top of the gallowgate and one in the east stand. Be good all being together like we are when we go to the aways. One of the few bonuses of being relegated!!

NUFC are bigger than all of that lot man, of course we have a future (might not be a good future but we have one!). Beye's the only one i'd be gutted to see leave. As for the rest, Colo, Jonas, Enrique and Martins won't be stopping even if we get took over as WE CAN'T AFFORD them and they've hardly set the world on fire have they? Would like Taylor and bassong to stay but they are probably 2 of the few players we can sell to raise funds to buy new players anyway.
-
Just had a phone call off one of my mates telling me that we've got our new seats. 7 together in the Gallowgate, halfway up the middle tier just to the right of the goal, well 4 and 3 in front. We've been going together for years and years so took advantage of people chucking it to get seats together. Wasn't expecting seats that good tho!!

He has the potential to be a decent player, still very small & slight so hopefully will beef up and grow a bit. Seen more of him playing at left back than as a winger, compared to the same age he's not as good on the wing as say Alan O'Brien was but then Alan didn't seem to fulfil his early potential anyway, struggling with his final ball. At the end of last season Ferguson did look a good attacking left back. The other lad in that article McCrudden looks a decent player as well from the few glimpses i've seen from him as well.
-
i don't think he'll be ready to play after his injury and bearing in mind we are trying to get him off the wage bill we can't afford him to get injured and be stuck with him till xmas!!
-
I'm sure i saw a photo of him training.
-
might as well have a guess at the team!! not sure if youngsters like Tavernier, Vukcic & Ferguson have travelled but presume they will have. 1st half Harper Beye Taylor Colo Kadar Taylor Smith Nolan Duff Carroll Shola 2nd half Krul Tavernier Tozer Lough Jose Barton Butt Smith Lua lua Ranger Danqauh or Baheng

Zamblera looked a very poor player, albeit only saw him in a couple of games. Played a few reserve games, didn't look anything special, went back into the youth team and then went back to Italy. Not sure if he's back and still in Italy.
-
So our options are 1/... Malaysian Consortium 2/... American Consortium 3/... Any other Confuckinsortium 4/... Fat Freds Cronie-osortium 5/... Ashley staying and reappointing JFK If its Number 5, I'm watching non league footy next season. if its 5 we could well be a non league club in 3 years!!
-
why would the club make an apparent concerted effort to keep Bassong & Taylor and then bring an aging centre half to the club. Sol won't come here and not play and the 2 young lads won't be happy sitting on the bench when they could be playing in the premiership!! or will Bassong play left back?
-
NUFC must be the only club that can get a negative article in the press due to only 5 people coming to watch the 1st day of pre season training!!

Going to Darlington
-
No he wouldn't, he's played a few reserve games as a holding midfielder and wasn't too clever really. Some of you are being rather harsh on the lad, when you've probably only seen first team games when he's played full back and he's struggled a bit but he's a decent centre half, not sure if he can do it week in week out in the premier league but he'd be fine in the championship. As for the person who said he'd get mullared by the physicalilty on the CCC well he coped pretty well against Stoke last season at the Britannia and there's not many more physical teams than them!!
-
i've already renewed, had planned on waiting till something happened although was always getting my ticket but as me and the lads i go with are dotted around the ground we have took the opportunity to get seats together in the gallowgate, hopefully the corner as we were in "the corner" when we won promotion under KK!! Hopefully we'll get a repeat.......

We were pretty much doomed when we had to play Walcott as a lone striker. He just couldn't hold the ball up at all. The Germans were also a lot more confident on the ball. Too many of our players suffered from the usual British disease of passing the ball slightly behind their team-mate, through a lack of confidence in their technique. It makes such a difference to the momentum of an attack. If I were a coach, I would ban that kind of pass in training. Not sure you could blame Walcott too much, yes he had a quiet game but th 5 man midfield Muamba, Noble, Cattermole, Milner and Johnson is pretty poor, none of them exactly creative and can pick a pass in the way Uzil did for the Germans.

That Ramires for Brazil is useless, worst Brazilian footballer i've seen since Fumaca!!! God knows how he's keeping Elano out of the team.

that is a truly minging strip, for years i've wanted us to go back to a yellow away kit but not like that.

you say tu are a bit up their own arses then recommend they should join up with nusc? you couldn't make it up. Im sorry Fading Star but , I am going to have to 100% agree with wshmag on this one. I can understand how you would think the TU are stuck up there own arse , but to be honest we have helped alot. Not saying we make the atmosphere but as a group we have contributed largley in my opinion. I have a lot of time for TU in many ways, but theyre becoming a disruptive element. More concerned with themselves than the greater good. Too quick to cast themselves as better supporters than the rest of us. I hope its just case of a small minority creating false impression, but have to say Im starting to have my doubts. So here's a chance for both groups to help each other really. The NUSC could show that they're keen to get an atmosphere in the ground, and the TU can finally get rid of their name, appeal to more supporters, and have a bit of guidance, etc. I agree, it was something i suggested months ago, much better for 2 groups to join together.

i heard that story, think the lass got banned from travelling on whatever bus trip it was though!! Pity they might have got people going if they were getting "extras" on the way back!! You would think wrong then. thats what i was told anyway. Aye? Well you would know better than me then eh? so did you not get banned then? :-) I am not banned from shambles, nope. Do you believe 100% everything you read on the net? i didn't read it on the net, someone i go to the match with told me. Whats shambles btw? never heard of that?
