    Alan Pardew

If the rumours are to be believed he was talking to Ashley about the as early as 2 weeks ago, since he's mates with him. Anybody who goes behind a fellow proffesional's back and is pals with Ashley deserves their bollocks chopped (he could probably do with this actually). Aye, but like you said they are rumours.. if this goes ahead the blame lies squarely on Ashley and Dereks door, they had the opportunity to choose their next manager - and they would rather not get the best man for the job but instead appoint their pal. Pardew shouldn't take the brunt of the blame just because he has been offerred a job. He's a manager out of work after all.

In fairness - it's not Alan Pardews fault at all. He's a bit of a tool and not even a good manager... but if he is offerred the job why shouldn't he take it exactly?

Starting Harewood and Mullins rather than Tevez and Mascherano, is up there too
  4. It's Pardew. Little chance of it being anyone else.
  5. Surprised people aren't calling for Shearer. Best realistic manager out there is Martin O'Niell

    Chris Hughton

Top, top bloke. Didn't learn a few lessons, but the majority of his time here he was spot on like dropping Nicky Butt, persisting with Andy Carroll, signing Tiote, Routledge and lets not forget bringing Ben Arfa here.
  7. So when the rumours were flying around a few weeks ago and it was labelled 'usual media shit-stirring bullshit'.. they were actually spot on - Mike did want him out - exactly like they were right about the Kevin Keegan fiasco.
  8. Nothing shocks me with Ashley in charge. Hope Hughton gets back into management with a decent club asap.
  9. A fair few people on here could see he was talented despite not scoring often... not to mention being totally isolated up front alone most games.

    Harry Redknapp

If that was true.. Gareth Bale would have been sold a long time ago tbh.
  11. We are 10th... and as for Hughton being tactically inept - that is probably the dumbest statement i have read in this thread.
  12. La Liga is a ridiculously 2 sided league.
  13. Guthrie has a heart the size of a walnut. Been saying this for ages and he's done nowt to prove me wrong. Barton has had bad games as well as good ones but he never hides. Liverpool away under Shearer? Or has that disappeared from your memory How did he hide? Before he got sent off he was our best player that day. Always showed for the ball. Disagree completely and his 'tackle' was beyond cowardly that day. Left his team-mates in the lurch for the rest of that game, and also the next 3, at our most important time in recent history. Big heart? No. Buy a new dictionary. Being reckless, daft, stupid or whatever you want to call it is nothing like the same thing. The only way it would have been cowardly would be if he purposely got himself suspended because he didn't want to play the remaining games, and surely you don't think that Barton's tackle was a deliberate foul, he knew exactly what he doing... lashing out in frustration isn't a good example of having 'big heart'. I'm surprised anyone would disagree.
  14. Viduka and Harper for starters- IIRC Barton played one clever pass for Lovenkrands during the match and that was that.

  17. This unfortunately. Could be seen as wrong, given the plaudits he got after the mackem game, but results and performances since then (bar Arsenal) have been rotten. Questions need to be asked as to what we are doing. I'm afraid so, the media have been loving Hughton but some of our performances have been so bad. Some of Chelsea's performances have been so bad. Some of Manchester United's performances have been so bad. Some of Arsenal's performances have been so bad. ...Whats your point? We are 9th.
  18. Some crazy OTT reactions towards Chris here, Nolan and Smith in centre of midfield will never work... what does he do though? He has no one else.

    Harry Redknapp

True, he's got a point this time, but he's not going to win any friends by taking the piss out of the collection of arseholes called Spurs fans, is he? He's always been a w*****, but I reckon he's become worse since joining Spurs - maybe he can't hack the pressure of being at a club that pretends it's big...? I would certainly call them a big club... in the Champions League with a team that includes Van der Vaart, Modric and Bale. How is that not?
