Holy shit some of the comments in this thread. The team is just off an absolute battering. Against a side who has a free hit to get to the QF of the FA Cup, and played out of their skin. Particularly their GK. Wondering why all the individual mistakes and the poor finishing is on the manager. Sure he picked Burn.. it's hardly criminal. He was a big part of a back 4 that got us CL and to a cup final just 12 months ago. The narrative that is forming in this place is only going to get worse and worse and we know where it ends up. The next manager Mourinho or whoever isnt going to do better with the players. Just enjoy the win. The overall trajectory of our club is upwards.

Why is it a concern? In that period of time we were absolutely desperate for players. That same transfer window we also triggered the release clause of Chris Wood. It got us out of the immediate shit.

Where has the idea of Howe having or wanting a significant say on players come from?

We did ok in those last year tbf. And should have beaten Chelsea, with next to no one available, in the LC this year.

I think it hard to criticise him really but one thing that's annoying me recently is because he doesn't want to commit himself to a tackle he just literally runs alongside the attacker until they cross into the box or they cut inside.

Our midfield is the obvious problem at the moment, it's not balanced and we're getting over-run.. and none of them seem to be picking up any runners. A balanced midfield helps prevent Burn getting isolated with one on ones. We always look better once Tino comes on though..

I get why everyone is angry at FPP. It annoys me too. But I am sure everyone would agree that there are clubs out there that literally need protecting from themselves. For example look at what happened with Leeds being too ambitious, failing and then having sell everyone they could, and with Bury disappearing entirely. Not sure what the answer is, but there needs to be something in place to not have other clubs totally going under.

The responses on here were sadly predictable. Despite everyone predicting a heavy loss, we lost to a last minute goal, and all of a sudden its totally incomprehensible. Utterly deluded fools. Learn to take a loss, just played a team that won the triple last year and were well up for it today. Could see that in their celebrations.

For all the people that are expecting us to lose, if we do lose, can we not do the way over the top reaction. As if the result wasn't expected.
