  1. The only strikers i would keep would be Martins and Loven. Carroll - is a championship striker imo and Xisco - if he was good would of played more games considering the awful amount of injuries to our strikers. Personally I think our front line is complete dirge barring Owen. We're going to be in this situation next season if wre stay up and none of the other strikers at the club are capable of scoring enough goals to keep us up. goalscoring strikers are important! but its not our strikers fault we are in this mess. Ok, they have been injuried a lot .....which means we haven´t had any consistency on top. For me the problem is our midfield which dosen´t provide anything for the strikers. Our midfield isn´t helping our ok defence either! Goalscoring strikers are important that's why we need to get rid of Carroll and Xisco, Owen doesn't offer much for his salary and the amount of games he plays in a year. Martins is the only one who can create something out of nothing and scares defenders

  3. The last two posts of yours I've read have probably been the most pathetic attempts to garner bites I've seen on this site. There's a lot of competition out there, but congratulations, you've nailed it. Well, I'm so f***ing sorry, but I haven't read a single argument about the nature of his departure -- of his choice to depart -- that comes within a light year of justifying a £9 million payout. I do realise he's a sacred cow, and that any criticism of him at all will be regarded by many as trolling, but that is my honest opinion. Well... It going to the court because of constructive dismissial whereby people above him made his job extremely difficult to do - in a deliberate attempt to get him to quit. Which he did! as couldn't handle it anymore.. especially after promising the fans a replacement for Milner - which a penny hasn't even arrived yet! Probably was super stressful being undermined like that. Well, I'm sure that £9 million will help the poor fellow relax after his terrible ordeal. You think he will win his case? so a court room will vote in favour that Keegan was being stopped to do the job he was supposed to be doing then?? - constructive dismissal. wow and your pro Ashley right?

He didn't deserve be treated like that, he couldn't do his job. A sacked manager gets compensation out of his contract, a manager forced out must be due similiar.. i don't think you understand that he was being deliberately forced out.

Probably was super stressful being undermined like that. He has every right to get his contract paid, a sacked manager would be due compensation. If he has a valid reason he is entitled to it. Ashley gave him a contract of that length at the end of the day.
  6. It's sad you say/believe that, when you have no evidence of him ever wanting a player besides a few - which were all reasonably priced and would of improved us. Woodgate, Modric, Insua, could be a couple but not many more.. You would rather buy into that the owners did nothing wrong and the KK factor has made Ashley and Wise innocent victims. Poor, Poor Ashley must be earth statterring not finding a buyer at the first sign of trouble and being stuck with a club he doesn't want. Pay bare minimum keep us up, promise fans some good times then sell asap. It's FAR more believable/realistic. At least there you have facts whereas your argument is based on tabloid transfer rumour talk. I hope your being a WUM as otherwise your post was pathetic
  7. what a load of s***. mort said keegan knew the system/situation and agreed to it before he signed. any talk from keegan himself about breaking world records was sheer stupidity. Your the one talking s*** - Keegan would not have returned unless he had been promised significant funds and control over transfers. Why do some people on here prefer to believe Ashley rather than Keegan, amazing really at what point in ashleys time here has he or anyone connected to him claimed we would spend "significant funds"? the club would NOT have said "here kev have £200 million m8" as a lure. keegan most likely came back for the money he would get, not spend. sad, but very possibly true. The 16 million quid they were going to spunk on the croation tranny? and Woodgate in January
  8. I defy anyone to come up with anything that has happened so far that indicates that this is a false description of Ashley's plan. But...but.. Arsenal?!! Scouting grid?! Bassong? Wise!
  9. He's doing f*** all to the fans Ashley employed him, Ashley lied, Keegan walked, Ashley threatened Keegan with legal action of the clause saying he had to pay him X amount, Keegan takes them to court citing constructive dismissal. + keegan lied. About what? Source? There's been nothing in the press about this for obvious reasons so a few people on here must have inside knowledge about various things during his time here and from his own mouth. coupled with various mort quotes, he might find he hasnt much of a case. Show us where he lied. after a brief search, When Keegan was asked about reports linking him with a return to Newcastle as director of football under then-manager Sam Allardyce, he said: "It's absolutely impossible to give Sam a job at Newcastle and then go and fetch someone who is going to be some sort of threat, it doesn't work. "Sam would be a fool to let it happen and the guy who goes in would be a fool to accept it. "The chairman, who is not a fool, would be a fool to go and do it, too. It doesn't work." But Mort was quick to play down that speculation, saying of Wise's role: "When we interviewed Kevin for the manager's position we said we wanted a particular structure in place with someone experienced working with the board, particularly on recruitment and developing the Academy. "At that time we had narrowed it down to two or three names and we gave those names to Kevin. He knew the structure and the individuals involved and we wanted to make sure he was comfortable with it." "I think it's positive," Keegan said, "as long as I can get on with my job and I get all the help I need as it has been put to me. You'd be a fool to say, 'I don't want that'. "I talked with Dennis before the game and he wished us all the best. I knew he was one of two or three names put forward. "There's been no deception, it's been very open. I'm fine. I pretty much know, from conversations we've had, what Dennis is going to do and the idea, in principle, is very good, to go and look for new players, to bring a lot of youngsters in. "I'm all for the changes, it's not a problem, I approve of them. We had this discussion when I took the job. "They want somebody on the board who understands football and Dennis Wise, whatever anybody wants to write about him, understands football. I know Dennis and I think it'll work very well. He'll report to me." Wise, the former Chelsea captain, will be joined on Tyneside by Tony Jimenez as vice-president (player recruitment) and Jeff Vetere, who joins from Real Madrid to take up the position of technical co-ordinator. "This is all part of the vision that recently helped us to secure Kevin Keegan's return to the club as manager," Mort added there's more about him wanting to break world transfer records even though he knows we cant. i'll find them later. feel free to dismiss these or twist to suit agenda. How are those quotes incriminating? called himself a fool, mort says keegan knew the system keegan now claims he didnt know about and he wanted wise here. i see you chose dismiss. Do you know what constructive dismissal even means?
  10. What proof do you have that we were going to keep spending under Fred and Sam Allardyce? i think there would have been a period where we stabilise and push on up afterwards. Allardyce got Bolton into Europe with next to nothing, that was in Fred's thinking upon appointment of the guy i'm pretty sure. He knew couldn't borrow much ore. With such reckless spending how come we didn't go broke sooner? Fred was a chairmen for how long? He achieved so much and was always ambitious without going too far ie: summer of bowyer and woodgate sale. You write as if it is fact that Freddy was always going to spend and assume he didn't know what he was doing. The fact is - we didnt go broke, we don't know what would of happened.
  11. £10M budget and Joe Kinnear in charge. Arsenal and Villa must be shitting thaself. Isn't the £10 million what he's prepared to put in? Not sure how many other clubs owners are prepared to stick their hand in their pocket to finance their clubs. He is loaning newcastle the money ain't he, with zero interest? alternatively there is always the possibility that he has no other choice.
  12. He's a yes man. He'll happy do as he's told and not get in the way of Wise, Ashley, Llambias et al when they want to pull the strings. This is probably true but they must surely know that majority of the fans are against the appointment. Working against the owners you have - fans aren't happy with the manager, the managers health aint the best, players aren't the happiest (presumed Owen, Shay,N'zog admittedly) they are the main points. However do they know that a huge amount of supporters are against the contract extension? or do they not care too much?
  13. My biggest question for Llambias, Ashley and co is are they actually aware that a huge majority of Newcastle fans believe Kinnear just isn't good enough. If the fans don't back him and he is a temporary manager - no compensation. Why don't they ease our concerns and suggest why Kinnear is so backed and try to explain to us that he is the best they can get. Baffling that he was even given a contract imo.
  14. Read the quote again. He is not complaining he says that more needs to be done besides a little price cut to win over supporters which is very true, he didn't mention transfers. If Ashley spends in the summer - it would help. If he doesn't - the reduction in season tickets would have done no good. What is wrong about that?
  15. All the usual drivel we've come to expect from true sh*t dot com and as ever no suggestion of WHO they want instead of Ashley. I for one can't wait until the moaning b@stards just stop threatening to walk away and ACTUALLY do it. The club may be worse off but SJP will be a far better place when the moaners piss off and leave 40K real fans who support the club and team and not the owner. Enjoy your Saurday/Sundays at the Metro Centre/Kingston Park/Stadium of Light or wherever you decide to go next lads. How can you love the club and not care how it is run? Not care where we are heading? I would support the club whatever division we are in, but personally believe with our support we deserve top level football at the very least, we have always been an ambitious club. 5th biggest club in England aren't we? We are underperforming and for most people it is obvious where we could improve upon - manager remains unsolved and concerned with some stuff we have seen with the guys upstairs. That statement made valid points and you dismissed it because it's anti-Ashley. I noticed you couldn't argue against the points made by them though. Basically your saying we can't critise anything we don't like, as it's not 'supporting' the team.
  16. Cambiasso looks as off the pace at Nicky Butt
  17. Inter Milan always, always struggle against premier league opposition. they are just too slow. man utd play with a better tempo. their players are hardly shit, being champions and top of Serie A not really poor is it
  18. Looks really out of his depth. lol he has played 20 mins and it's not happening for him and having a bad game. out of depth - no.
  19. If we get rid of Kinnear lets face it we aren't going to aim very high for our next one. Premiership manager in the 90's? Available for free? Londerer?
  20. achieving premier league safety was the aim for them this year, despite the good start they were always likely to come tumbling down the table.
  21. what other “criteria” do you expect from a casino manager, they haven’t got a clue about football. That is why we have Dennis Wise as ED(F). Is that the reason we have Kinnear now? Encouraging.
  22. Yup negotiations were on-going through all of December too, remember the Arsenal and Roma players on loan. Not much happened that window..
