Honestly, I'm not sure if it's allowed in the rules, but if it is I could easily see Chelsea offering Delap as part of a deal for Isak. Didn't really watch the CWC but it looked like Joao Pedro immediately became the preferred striker.

I'm not convinced this all means Isak is leaving, but if he's saying the speculation is bothering Isak and he wanted to take him out of the spotlight, he's cocked up because he's sent it into overdrive. Why wouldn't we be able to loan him back right away? Lots of club do deals where they buy the player but he goes back to his original club on loan for a period of time. Not that this is what would happen here, it's fantasy nonsense, I just mean I don't think it's against any actual rules.

For me, it all depends on the price. Wissa is a proven performer in the Premier League. More guaranteed to be a success than Ekitike, and more likely to not cause a fuss when playing from the bench. Would hopefully leave funds for us to improve elsewhere.

Not every player needs to have resale value. Sometimes you can buy a player because he improves your squad.
