It's not even close to the actual quote and nothing closer to the sentiment. 'we don't demand a team that wins, we demand a club that tries'. It's about the lack of ambition under Ashley, nothing about the efforts of the players.

Andre Onana is apparently the 62nd best player in the world and 7th best goalkeeper in the world. I'm not sure he's the 7th best goalkeeper in the premier league.

Want new champions, but REALLY don't want it to be Liverpool or Arsenal.
-
Miley is now actually the 8th youngest goal scorer in Premier League history. The only younger centre mid to score is Fabregas.
-
Apparently the youngest scorer in the Premier League for nearly 15 years.

Can't believe my stream froze and skipped the entirety of his goal and replays. Caught in Twitter afterwards but its not the same.

It's ridiculous that Man Utd, who actually picked up less points than us, got nearly double what we did.
-
Classic example of torso deception.

Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Newcastle United (10/12/23)

We make substitutions and rotate the squad rather than playing the same 11 for every single minute in 5 games in 2.5 weeks. Definitely some Tottenham specs being worn by trying to pass the blame onto Wilson for Vicario. -
He'll be Scotland's joint top scorer with 0 goals.

Beat Everton and we're literally 3 points behind Villa. I hardly think we need to write off being able to catch them. -
He got an assist in his second game with an exceptional through ball.
-
Better yet, write it 'injured - not'. So everyone gets a nice little heart attack from the preview.
-
I wonder if Everton voted against it just to piss off the premier league?

Financial Fair Play / Profit & Sustainability
healthyaddiction replied to Mattoon's topic in Football
If you have a spending cap for fairness, it would surely be better to anchor is against the revenues of the top clubs. That way those outside the big six can speculate, if they have the funds from elsewhere, to try and disrupt the top. That way your still stopping a ridiculous overspend by a nation state, but also making it possible to compete with the big clubs. -

That's still one game. Brentford beat City twice last year. I am absolutely certain Chelsea will be nowhere near the top 4 this season. People think 18 months of rubbish form is just going to change suddenly. It's not, it's a process they going to have to go through. They'll do well at times, because they have a lot of great footballers, but they'll regularly underwhelm, because there are much bigger issues within the club. -

They were beaten 2-0 at home by Brentford three matches ago. What form is that? -
We've already taken various advantages from our owners though. Such as our various large PIF owned sponsors. But they're ever tightening the net and restricting what we can do. It's all about making a closed shop.
-
I would say because it's a continuation of rules being put in place to stop any team from ever being able to challenge the "big 6" clubs. No club is ever going to organically grow to compete with them anymore and there is increasingly no way for owners to help clubs to challenge them. So it's just a closed shop.

My general feeling is that the premier league has done everything it can to stack the cards against us, and will continue to do so. We should take every advantage that we can that is within the rules.
-
I see a lot of people saying the goals was definitely a foul for the push, but I notice every single former premier centre half I've seen comment on the issue, other than ex-Arsenal Martin Keown, has said they thought it wasn't a foul. I think a lot of pundits just want to stoke the controversy so they something to talk about until next weekend.

If you watch the video, his right leg does connected with Longstaffs leg. Not heavily, it might have just been the shinpad, but it does connect.
