I mostly agree with this. But a lot of people are "fans" of Disney. They take part in Disney forums, wear their clothes and such forth. So I don't think that example is ENTIRELY different. Though it's still somewhat different obviously.

I think the Super League has brought a little more into conciousness and obviously the relative wealth we're talking about is extreme in terms of our owners. It's also just becoming more and more of an issue as the years go on and the "Big Six" have made a few attempts at a kind of coup of football (both super league and project big picture). There's also that government review happening. So it's all way more relevant now than ever before.

I don't think he's being judgemental at all. He repeatedly says the fans deserve the success and should enjoy it. Really it's just him stating that football is fucked and their needs to be something in place so even the likes of Norwich and Brentford could hope to one day compete at the top. Which is right. Football is completely fucked and I am glad that at least now we can compete despite how shite it is. However, it would be much better if we could somehow implement restrictions so that it would have been possible for us to have eventually won the league without needing the backing of a nation state. Which we never would have done ever without.

Apparently, as part of the deal, in the short term the SD signs have to stay up.

This whole thing about it not being about piracy and it's just that the saudi state proved they won't be in control, it really does emphasise how badly we fans have been screwed by utter fucking corruption. -
Desperately waiting for the right moment to come out with "wide of the mark".

All this news seems to be lining up nicely for a Friday 3pm announcement I think. Hopefully HTT will be around soon to confirm.

The website is just carrying over from last season. For example Jesse Lingard is showing as being on loan at West Ham for this season too.

I saw on Facebook that Bill Gates is trying to microchip us through COVID vaccine's, which is more believable than that image.

VERY surprised any member of the public was able to get that close to the stadium nevermind the players entrance. SJP has been within a secured zone for months now? I was thinking the same. Probably one of the players that chucked it. -
A player relegated twice in the last two seasons. Obviously wants the hat trick.

Impossible for him to reach then.

It's the legal battles where I feel you may be misleading yourself. I think we all want to believe that if it gets rejected, PIF will spend millions taking them to the cleaners but i've yet to hear anyone put forward anything that suggests that they'd have any kind of strong case, if any case at all. I think someone yesterday suggested only MA would have a legal angle, if he felt compelled to go down that route. Whether that's right I don't know but in basic terms, if feels like if it gets rejected because of the PL's own test, rather any kind of UK law, then they'll be able to back that up. I just don't see this going legal. It wouldn't be the first time football sets it's own rules that are then overturned by law. Man City's ban for example.
