  1. Days? Days!!!!! How many days though? 365?
  2. I don't think I want to be part of the "we" until Ashley goes.
  3. Garry Monk with a 5% increase. Where do I sign up?
  4. Caulkin says he's gone and they are looking for a new manager. How anyone can continue to support Ashley after this, I don't know.
  5. Feck all in here - except we look doomed: https://mobile.twitter.com/Sean_Douglass/status/1142905856020942849/photo/1
  6. Hopefully something very bad has happened to Ashley.
  7. Luke Edwards' latest article. Another sad read: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/06/22/rafa-benitez-goes-china-will-leaving-newcastle-wrong-reasons/
  8. The King goes Stateside? http://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2019/06/22/alan-pardew-lined-up-to-complete-shock-return-to-management-after-1-year-out-espn/
  9. Its a shame we couldn't quite get it over the line, oh well, there's always the next transfer window. Can totally believe that.
  10. Horrible to read, that. Very bleak.
  11. 17:32 'Rafa Benitez has one hand on the exit' George Caulkin, of the Times, writes: The story of Newcastle United’s summer is a story of stasis and, as things stand, there will not be a happy ending, not as far as Rafa Benítez is concerned. With nine days to go until the manager’s contract ends at St James’ Park, talks about an extension have stalled and China is beckoning, offering money (lots of it), and a different sort of challenge. Benítez has one hand on the exit and trust has already left the building.
  12. Agreed. It will be a turbocharged version of 88/89. Ironically, I can see Ashley trying to pull a similar stunt to that of Gordon McKeag and co back then by rolling out some signings to try make up for the loss of Rafa, just as McKeag did back then by signing John Hendrie, Dave Beasant, Andy Thorn etc to try to appease the masses for the summer sale of Paul Gascoigne. It was futile though as despite some initial optimism the bitterness of the Gazza sale soon came back to the fore when things started off badly. The exact same thing will happen with a Rafa-less NUFC. I was there at Goodison that day too and you just knew what was coming for the rest of the season. Cottee scored after 30 seconds and the writing was on the wall immediately. I was at Anfield for the 2-1 too...and swear I had a mini-heart attack when the final whistle blew. Ironic that we won at Anfield in a thoroughly dismal season, lol. One of the worst seasons I can remember.
  13. Will they receive a "no comment" response? https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-newcastle-transfer-dwight-gayle-2997218
  14. 100k a week. Not bad if you can get it: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7159151/Mo-Diame-agrees-HUGE-100-000-week-deal-join-Qatari-Al-Gharafa.html
  15. Rafa will still have the final say until June 30th (unless they go over his head of course).
  16. Can't see many committing at the moment.
  17. ”NUFC fear Rafa Benitez could let his contact run down and leave the club in crisis.” Fuck right off. It's all Rafa's fault like....
  18. Neil Redfearn's Black and White Army?
  19. They can all fuck off if Rafa goes. Final straw for me.
  20. To quote Duncan Bannatyne, "I'm oot" if Rafa goes. It would be classic Ashley - get rid of our only hope and kill off the takeover at the same time.
  21. https://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/rafa-benitez-returns-to-newcastle-united-1-9814180 It better not be to collect his stuff...
