Take out that hideous black box and just have the Northern Rock in black writing and that would be really nice. The same can be said for the 1st kit. It's a shame, this season's Northern Rock logo was one of the most aesthetically pleasing in the league.

Edwards is 28...

Name another that is not Giggs/Ronaldo, based on last season's form, that were better than Bentley/Gamst Why only last season? Was that when the PL was formed or something? Because the past doesn't really matter, the present does. What a stupid comment. Take Chelsea for example, 2 season ago they played Cole and Robben alot then last season they were dropped to make way for Shevchenko and Ballack. So because Cole and Robben wasn't played that much last season they can't be counted as being better than Bentley and MGP because "the past doesn't really matter the present does"? Even though if they were brought back into the team they would piss all over the Blackburn combo? If you insist.... Since you found the comment so laughable, can you come up with 5 clubs who have two better wingers?

Think it's been fairly widely mentioned that Diouf is hardly a Joey Barton type character off the pitch. Scum on it like. Barton has been involved in a couple of fights with his teammates; Diouf has assaulted his wife.

A deal has been agreed with club and player; he's having a medical and being unveiled this week.

'Whatever' is a very, very reliable source. It's good to hear 3-4 other deals are in advanced stages.

I don't think he's good enough at the very highest level, but i'd certainly take him here for £4-6m. He showed glimpses of his Man City form at the end of last season, once given a run of games, and I wouldn't be too concerned about him stunting Milner's progress either. James has often looked stronger on the left, and with Duff injured, and N'Zogbia's future uncertain, we could play both.

It's definitely not a coincidence, but they've probably done it just in case rather than having something planned.

Hold on, that's ok, right?

Prepare to be underwhelmed. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=40324.msg832449#msg832449 European qualification it is, then. On a serious note, the league will be very competitive next season. West Ham, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Everton, Blackburn, Portsmouth and, depending on their appointment, Man City, will all be expecting European football. That said, despite the massive overhaul the club will undergo on and off the pitch this Summer, i imagine Allardyce is quietly confident of securing a Uefa Cup place. We shall see.

He played 11 games for them in the entire season. He only joined in late February. What's that got to do with how well he's played? Well exactly. The table is supposed to be showing us the best buys of the year. For him to be third is laughable. I suppose. Although, long term, i think he'll prove to be the best signing of last season.

Mascherano has been outstanding for Liverpool, in big Champions League games too.

:celb: There goes £15m with absolutely no return. WOOP WOOP.
-
With any ambition to what? Play in the Champions League & win trophies? Only one club there can offer that...
-
At least if he's in charge of the u21s i don't have listen to him droning on about 'the football club'.
