  1. Everton & Spain's Mikel Arteta.
  2. If Roeder stays he'll be sacked 10 games into next season when we're languishing in the relegation zone and Sunderland are in the top half. Then Sheperd will appoint an equally incompetent manager, who will most probably enjoy a honeymoon period thus securing him a full season in charge, and the cycle will repeat itself. http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en-commons/thumb/1/13/250px-Knot-hangmans-noose.jpg
  3. Diego, Tevez & Arteta are names i've suggested in the past, depressingly we're not in a position to attract any of them.
  4. I'm becoming quite hopeful there's something in the speculation. Sheperd is usually breaking his neck to get his picture on the website rubbishing any story concerning us, and for Oliver not to deny it outright... Just wishful thinking, perhaps.
  5. i say roeder is better than aboutr half the managers who started in this division this season,he isn't great,he isn't the answer but he isn't as bad as yo rant on........there,my opinion....would you rather have pearce, boothroyd, coleman, pardew, curbishley etc Coleman, Pardew, Boothroyd - yes. They may be poor tacticians, but at very least they're superior motivators to Roeder. As Brummie said, he sat there in the second half as if he was about to fall asleep, similar to how he stood there like a statue against AZ whilst we crumbled in our most important game of the season. He simply offers nothing as a manager.
  6. When he wasn't sacked after the performance in Alkmaar it was clear he'd be here until the Summer at least.
  7. Reading's season shows how far organisation can take you. A significantly inferior squad of players, set to finish 15 points ahead of us.
  8. Why is it 'disgraceful' that Dyer has been made captain?
  9. Harper Milner Bramble Taylor N'Zogbia Butt Solano Emre Luque Owen Martins ...with Owen & Martins up front it's essential we pack the midfield with creative players capable of picking a killer pass; Solano, Emre & Luque can all do so. Regarding the full-backs, i think Reading will run the aging Carr and Solano ragged. They get the ball to the flanks and put it in the box, no great positioning nor knowledge of the role is required to face them - the young legs of Milner and N'Zogbia would be far better suited to the task of tirelessly chasing down their wingers. Anyway, when defending, the triumvirate of Butt, Solano & Emre could cover as defensive midfielders, we wouldn't exactly be overrun. Depending on the scoreline the full-backs should be able to support attacks too, as long as Butt stays within our half.
  10. You don't think Sheperd will be able to afford sacking Roeder? He's on peanuts and we have the option to get rid at the end of the season. I can't imagine Allardyce and his team will be demanding massive wages either.

    Viduka

I'd rather have Viduka than Mido, Saha or Baptista, too.
  12. No problem. Palace 2-0 Derby. Sunderland promoted.

  14. I'll laugh if we get the young, talented Barnes and Tottenham end up with Dyer on double the wages.
  15. At the end of the season, after everybody who is leaving has left, the following defensive options will remain: Right-backs - Solano, Carr. Center-backs - Taylor, Ramage. Left-backs - Babayaro. Now, as much as i like Tevez, there's no way we can justify spending the entire budget on an attacking player when at very, very least we need three new defenders through the door in the Summer. It wouldn't matter if we had C.Ronaldo, Messi & Kaka up front, a back four of Solano-Taylor-Ramage-Babayaro is going to leak a significant amount of goals in the Premiership.
  16. This is Keane's first season as a manager. They were bottom when he took over. ...are two simple reasons. See Boothroyd & what they've done this season. What on earth are you talking about? He asked why Keane is receiving more hype than McCarthy did after doing a similiar job with Sunderland, i told him.
  17. Charlton's 10 men equalise.
  18. Who are you talking to?
  19. Carvalho has been ruled out of the semi-final.
  20. This is Keane's first season as a manager. They were bottom when he took over. ...are two simple reasons.
  21. Chelsea have a blown it big time in these last two games, Liverpool will beat them on Tuesday too.
