Given Solano Taylor Onyewu Babayaro Butt Emre Dyer N'Zogbia Martins Owen Subs: Krul, Edgar, Parker, Milner, Duff It does lack width but Solano and Babayaro (who'll hopefully be replaced in the Summer) get forward enough for it to work. I'd want Dyer, N'Zogbia & Martins interchanging roles throughout the game, with Emre & Solano provding the through balls. Plus, having two deep lying midfielders would relieve the attacking quartet of any defensive responsibilities. I think Dyer is ineffective wide right and N'Zogbia often looks more comfortable cutting inside - certainly worth a try when Owen returns.

I wouldn't entirely be against a 2 year extension... as long as Shola is sold and a quality striker brought in as 3rd choice, Sibierski could do a job as 4th for a couple of years.
