  2. I'm suprised King hasn't made one list, he's definetly up there with the best.
  3. I doubt they'll be going down once they come up under Keane, for a while at least.
  4. 1. Henry 2. Rooney 3. Shevchenko 4. Drogba 5. Owen 6. Van Persie 7. Berbatov 8. Tevez 9. Martins 10. Larsson
  5. He's not average, he's shite. But he gets the vote for being left footed?? Do you think there's currently a better left-back at the club? Obviously he's not good enough long term but he should be played until the end of the season and hopefully be kept as backup beyond that.
  6. Given Solano Taylor Onyewu Babayaro Butt Emre Dyer N'Zogbia Martins Owen Subs: Krul, Edgar, Parker, Milner, Duff It does lack width but Solano and Babayaro (who'll hopefully be replaced in the Summer) get forward enough for it to work. I'd want Dyer, N'Zogbia & Martins interchanging roles throughout the game, with Emre & Solano provding the through balls. Plus, having two deep lying midfielders would relieve the attacking quartet of any defensive responsibilities. I think Dyer is ineffective wide right and N'Zogbia often looks more comfortable cutting inside - certainly worth a try when Owen returns.
  7. Wigan lead at the Emirates.
  8. Krul Solano Taylor Edgar Babayaro Milner Butt Dyer Luque Sibierski Martins

    World Best XI?

Just a coincidence, then, that the three players you mentioned were the three fullbacks who excelled during the Summer.

    World Best XI?

    That was my point...
  11. Reo-Coker would be somewhat of a gamble considering he's only performed consistently for one season.. and even if West Ham are relegated, as the England u21 captain, he's sure to have an overinflated price tag. I'm undecided about Sidwell, he'd only leave Reading for guarenteed first team football and i don't know wether he's good enough to merit it.

    World Best XI?

Lahm and Grosso... having a decent World Cup seems to do wonders for your reputation.

    World Best XI?

Don't want sound like an ass, but in a world XI you would have the main CM be a 19 year old? Why not? I can't think of much his game lacks.

    World Best XI?

Buffon Zambrotta Woodgate Cannavaro A.Cole Messi Fabregas Kaka C.Ronaldo Henry Ronaldinho
  15. Why haven't you picked him then?
  16. There's no distinction between the football we play now and that which we produced under Souness.
  17. He's simply not good enough and i'm still struggling to understand why anyone thought he was at the time of his appointment. I'd say it's best to get rid of him asap and give the new manager time to assess the squad so we don't have yet another panicked transfer window in the Summer. The depressing reality is, Roeder will probaly be here until his contracts expires and then Shearer will takeover.
  18. We had this not so long ago. Cesc Fabregas, hands down.

    Football pet hates

Thierry Henry's dancing celebration! Yes, perhaps it's just about acceptable from young players... but a grown man...

Dancing goal celebrations: see Lita's for the England U21s tonight.
  21. That was my first thought.

    Probable England team

Ah, maybe SWP off Crouch will be slightly more effective?
