Watched that before, love the subtle shade he throws at Bruceball. Also, here's where he talks about Howe: He honestly comes off as a genuine, humble guy. It's amazing to see the transformation and him enjoy his football in the Toon. He'll be a decorated legend when he's done with us.
  2. Better than Shola. Also, bonus group of 'full kit wanka' mackems. SkySport Retro is full of gold.
  3. The only thing of interest Watford do are mind bleeding managerial appointments while simultaneously burning through them. Look at this shit: https://www.transfermarkt.us/fc-watford/mitarbeiterhistorie/verein/1010
  4. He's got nothing about him as a manager. Amazing footballer in his day, but he's not a manager. Think he'd be better as a first team coach under a bigger managerial name, but doubt his ego would be satisfied on 2nd fiddle. Dyche would keep them up if they're in the shit, but he's no visionary or transformative figure. A Bielsa type is needed, which they had in Rafa, but that obviously didn't work out. Wonder if they'd go for Martinez post WC?
  5. The touch, control and to whack it in on the half volley was insane.
  6. For some reason I thought Ancelotti (10, 12) had them in the top half when he was there. The following all had better league results since Moyes consistently had them in the top half: 8 Marco Silva 8 Sam Allardyce 7 Ronald Koeman 5 Roberto Martínez (also 11) Last year was Everton's second lowest league table position in the PL, they've had a 17th (93-94) previously under Mike Walker. One thing Howe mentioned early days was culture, inclusion and player chemistry. From Lamps down to their star players, they all look miserable or uninterested. While ability is obviously the biggest force for success at the top level, you cannot underestimate the impact culture and community have within a club. Everton are currently fucking rotten, unfortunately.
  7. Is it? Have to think they recoup a good portion of the outlay if Gallagher and Broja are sold.
  8. The King not good enough for you, @BennyBlanco? Deleweded Mag.

  10. Who runs the index? The PL? I'd have thought sentiment might be lower during that season, but I'm not sure I understand the data behind the ranking. Mate, I wish I could share some of the work I did with Chelsea around fan engagement, the app we built and let you compare the data with your qualitative assessment here. I've slightly pivoted a lot of my work into behavioural economics, which is what you're essentially broaching into here. I assure you the big clubs all have this data set and where it has the most value for the club is the commercialization and revenue generating mechanics needed to secure sponsorships. Growth, retention and sentiment obviously the main KPIs, but it's always interesting to unpack nuance such as the character of a particular ownership group. Best of luck to you!
  11. I’m impressed your Uni leverages Qualtrics for your studies. Survey was slightly ambiguous, what’s your hypothesis and what outcomes are you looking to illicit?

That Reading Kit is absolutely minging. Random sponsors spackled on the shorts and in between the hoops. Fucking hell.
  13. Zaha is 27 and arguably became an elite player only last season. It's obvious Eze has potential that's yet been realized, age has nothing to do with that. You really are an Edge Lord. Congrats.
  14. He's a top prospect and has something about him, I agree. He was class for QPR and I imagine Palace hope he can have the same impact Gallagher did for them the past campaign.
  15. I'm with you on most points, @KaKa, I don't think Palace will go down, they have enough quality and experience to stay up. Removing your top goal scoring and creating players will, at best, see them replicate this past season finish, but most likely sit at 14-16th in the table. I'm a fan of Viera, the player and now manager, think he's got more about him than some players from his time as manager.
  16. If Eze can match Gallaghers output last season, that will be great progress for the lad. I like Viera, but I think you're over rating him. While I don't disagree Zaha historically not being prolific, he's getting better each season (don't think Roma could afford him, tbh) and if CP have top 10 aspirations, they'll need to keep him. I haven't seen CP mentioned in any of the rumours pages with links to players of Zaha's quality. Benteke is shite, so, if Zaha leaves, they'll need these players to step up and probably find another two quality forwards to keep the momentum they built last year.
  17. To Palace in their current state? He's essential and unless they find someone of equal quality, they're fucked if he leaves.
  18. Yeah, think they have enough quality to stay up, assuming they keep Zaha and Eze can replace Gallagher's goal output. I don't mind them, their fans seem okay, even if they took issue with PIF.
  19. Eze is going to score 14 goals, @KaKa mate? There's potential there, but he's not on Zaha's level.
  20. Paging @TBG, someone is trying to steal your thunder, mate.
  21. I don't think he is, unfortunately. Let in some terrible goals when Dubs was injured. Toney's goal at SJP comes to mind.
  22. He scored 6 more goals than Gallagher (8), netting 14 in 31 starts. They did spread the scoring around a bit, but if Conor Gallagher doesn't come back and Zaha leaves, they're fucked.
