  1. I personally think Gerrard will do well there, probably a better situation for him to build on the success he's had with Rangers.
  2. Perspective is a mutherfucker, isn't it?
  3. I hope some of these cunts realize they're not above club anymore. I'd think the majority of them will crank up the effort as change is coming swiftly.
  4. Why is that unfortunate? I have to assume that is only temporary and once we've matured organizationally, with executives hired who understand how to run a business, the process will become much more fluid. I'm sure PIF would rather have input at a QBR type setting rather than the running of day to day operations. We've been run like a Sports Direct franchise for the past 15years, so diligence will be done until the change management pieces are put in play to have us run independently, with less oversight from our owners in the day to day. Things will get better, takes time.
  5. Everton Fellaini was fucking awesome. Had so much influence on the game, shame it went to shit for him at Man U.
  6. You watch the highlights of him at Hoffenheim and it's a totally different player, they had him tee'd up to replace Firmino. the Lord would order him to be shot behind the barn like the useless mule he's become. Poor guy.
  7. Great. I am usually overly optimistic and my bum has begun squeaking.
  8. Ashley has sucked any sort of optimism out of our fanbase. Emery reneging didn’t help, mind.
  9. After the Emery situation, I doubt this will collapse and if it does, then there’s going to be hell on from fans, media, etc. Howe has a position of strength to negotiate from, but I am of the opinion it’s mostly working through contractual logistics, terms and these things take time. Speaks to the character of Howe that he won’t sign until everyone else is sorted.
  10. I’m not convinced some of the replies to that Tweet are real people. “This stinks of Celtic!!! FFS!!!” Give over, man.
  11. I completely ignore that tool and his ridiculous bias. Good point, though.
  12. Can’t see that figure being a hurdle in building up the club whether it be from the Championship or Prem. Anyways, I think you’re right in that Emery is somewhat risk averse and possibly felt guilty leaving the club a 1/3 of the way through the season.
  13. you referring to the MLF’s on RTG?
  14. What? I don’t buy that for a second. It doesn’t make sense.
  15. Guilt, possibly, who knows, I anecdotally find Spanish people I’ve come across to have a flair for the dramatics.

    Sunderland

Does that make the worst thing about it the road in?
  17. This. I have a sneaking feeling he’s going to be great for us and we’re going to love the bloke once he brings us success. A first trophy ? for Eddie and us in decades via a cup would be perfect.
  18. I’ll reactivate my Twitter account to have a go at Edwards if that happens. It’ll be an honour getting him to block me.
  19. This is fantastic for two reasons: He can unearth value, improve it and make profit. He's now got the funds to match finding lower league skill with gifted players from the continent. Seems to me this is what PCP has communicated from the beginning, smart investment in players, infrastructure, operations, commercial revenue should lead to sustained success. Brilliant and I'm sure what most level headed supporters can get behind.
  20. Bet Hope couldn't wait to Tweet that.
  21. I never got that sense he was that dedicated to the game beyond his natural ability and the fruit of that was/is probably good enough for him. Remember how shell shocked he looked during the Liverpool transfer? He's as Geordie as they come, IMO.
  22. Well said, mate. Appreciate a non bias view.
  23. There’s quite a few on here who think we’re a better prospect than we actually are. Some might not want to be personally associated with PIF. I’m surprised we got that close to signing Emery. We’re 19th, winless, have just been taken over (look at the shit our new owners are getting, some deserved) a month ago, probably appear amateur as fuck to anyone coming from an organization with proper structure. Howe is up there with the best we could hope for right now. Like I said replying to @neesy111, he seems up for it, came prepared to our interviews and wants to be here. He could have fucked us off after the Emery debacle and waited for another opportunity more appealing than us. He’s talented, a player’s manager, that is data driven, tactical and ambitious. We also have no idea how much PIF are going to spend on this club until we’ve matured operationally and organizationally.
