Goes to show that a little intelligence is more useful in getting under someone's skin than uttering a slur. Cheeky French get.

You've got it in a nutshell. If the club, especially the players, had thought there was anychance this was just a misunderstanding they would have been all over the press backing him up....not a peep. His 'best mate' Martins hasn't offered a single word in his defence. I think there is only one conclusion to be drawn from that, and its a pretty damning one. Freddy/NUFC should have released some sort of statement regarding the clubs actions. Not saying anything leaves Emre and NUFC wide open for speculation. What kind of club are we if we didn't condone this type of thing? Take a f****** stance and stick with it till the end. We're missing a player who can help us out in Europe and the League. To do nothing is simply ridiculous, but then again, we do a lot of ridiculous things. Suspend him or defend him, f****** mongs.

My only worrying thing is that the club (Roeder and fellow players) haven't defended him. If he says he's innocent, then the club should get behind him. The Football Association is a disgrace. A bunch of old boys who can't get anything right and when it looks like they do (hiring Big Phil), they fucking bottle it.

Which is Football's greatest stadium? After reading this thread, I was checking my country's national news site and stumbled across this article: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/soccer/molinaro/2007/02/which_is_soccers_best_stadium.html It's an decent read, and I'm sure some of you will find issue with what he's written, but that's life. I've been to SJP twice with relatives and out of the couple Football Park's I've been to, it's clearly the best. Amsterdam Arena was also quite the spectacle and deserves praise. Anyhoo, just wondering which, without bias, do you honestly think is the best?

Werder are the team to beat and if not for bad luck, would still be in the CL.

Mythbusters. Can a football be hit over 100mph? A bunch of ex-harley-davidson riding motorbike thugs newly reformed into geeks will answer your question by building a robot leg that hits the ball at 2mph, the conclusion being the myth is debunked. Hahaha... I was referring to Daily Planet and they're resident "Science Geek", but I'm sure the cunts on Mythbusters could do it.

Agreed. I would think the scale of both objects would come into it? Aerodynamics? (All would fall under the momentum category.) I'm not sure why this fascinates me, but I'm fucking super curious with the list's authenticity. God, I love this type of shit. There's a show on Discovery Channel over here that I might email for answer's. I'll report back if they respond.

Just adding more separation between fan and player. Kinda sucking the emotion out of the game. I agree with, Dave, players should do what they like 'within reason'.

Physics background? Distance/time tbh. Obviously not my background then, is it? Haha.... I still don't understand how a football being lite in weight can achieve the same velocity/speed as a hockey puck.
-
Which is too bad, because I really do like Ajax. I caught a game there few years back and loved the atmosphere at Amsterdam Arena. I hope they return to former glory. Defo my 2nd favorite team.
-
Anyone? Anyone with a physics background? Please disprove the Guardian as total bollocks, please.

That list is total bollocks. The hardest recorded slap shot in hockey is 114mph. There is no way someone kicked a ball that fast. Why don't they have a radar gun pointed at the goal most games, anyway? Lot's of room for one behind it like.

I'm hope I'm not turning this into a "worship Big Al" thread, but the great man made for some terrific photos: http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/1273020.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19390335F8FA9CA92A6A87BB7B04E950B31E30A760B0D811297 http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/1275854.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19390335F8FA9CA92A6128104B7612FA1DBE30A760B0D811297 http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/1523154.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19390335F8FA9CA92A6F36BACDBA2A8F44FE30A760B0D811297 http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/958105.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19390335F8FA9CA92A6D83F8E0592C119F5 http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/1942195.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19390335F8FA9CA92A6FF697E5859591352E30A760B0D811297 http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/2054078.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19390335F8FA9CA92A633139D0193A6B8B7E30A760B0D811297 http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/2842468.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF19390335F8FA9CA92A687258876D98A6572E30A760B0D811297

What the f***?! Quite possibly the worst piece of journalism I've ever read. I'm surprised he didn't blame us for the weather. What the f***?! Quite possibly the worst piece of journalism I've ever read. I'm surprised he didn't blame us for the weather. You haven't seen some of his other pieces then. He reports on Liverpool mainly but I remember he did the match report against Everton when we beat them 6-2, and he started his match report describing us in the typical scouse manner as "a sky club", and remembering when he was there for Newcastle v Tranmere in 92 when there was just 23,000 there, he has an agenda against the toon as many of them do, it's a part of the fabric of their society. As I said there are some decent ones, we had a keeper for our team down Whitley Bay from Birkenhead he was a decent lad, Tranmere fan though, and even he ended up in jail for robbery, anybody who played for the Berkley in the mid 90's could back this up and know who I'm on about. However in the main, to coin two scousers phrases, "BLERRRRRRRRTS" and "WHOPPERS" almost to a man. If they truly were better than us, he'd not go out of his way to discredit the Toon. The bit in bold is hilarious. Do you recall what he was in the clink for? It wasn't robbery really, but was theft from the insurance, he stage managed an insurance scam by making it look like his house had been burgled, but the daft c*** smashed the glass from the inside where the burglar was supposed to have broken in, so it wouldn't take a genious to work out what followed. I liked him though he was a good lad, I was just an impressionable 16 year old and he was one of the ones who looked after me on the pitch against big fuckin thugs from Blyth and Ashington, in that Port of Blyth league, of which there were many. I know the type you're talking about. Good bloke's who do stupid things. That's too bad, not that I feel any pain for the insurance compaines as those cunts are all crook's. Wish he pulled it off, tbh. For the record, listening to Gerrard speak with that frog stuck in his throat is dreadful. Wor Mickey isn't much better.
