Duff can play upfront aswell, and let's not TOTALLY rule out Dyer. I know he's worth forgetting, but you never really know. We can cope striker-wise until January. Let's face it, in the UEFA Cup - we've got the Tallinn games and the group stage to concentrate on. WE're hardly going to need five strikers in the squad for those games.
-
I think we can buy another striker in January when we've recouped time and money. I think we have sufficient cover upfront until the next transfer window - and our most pressing needs are at the back. If we were going to buy Viduka today; why did we even bother with Rossi?
-
I'd take no one. We've got four strikers that are sufficient unti January. Use the Milner money to buy defender(s).
-
Good! The last thing we need is another stop-gap, expecially one that can't even get into the Boro side (a Boro side that lost 4-0 at home to Portsmouth three nights ago). Use the money to fund for new defenders.
-
Only if Solano or Duff get injured. You'd have Nobby ahead of Dyer (hypothetically at full fitness)?
-
I keep forgetting Dyer, probably justifiably, but you never know - he might do a job for us this season on the right.
-
Good - i don't want Viduka anywaay - i'm content with these four strikers until January at the very least. Use the Milner money ( :wullie: ) to fund for some defenders.

...and you base this statement on a rumour from planet football... Edit-tastic... It was a typo... common sense would have told you that it was an 'if'. What else could it have been? I we sell Milner...

Erm, i think it's something to do with N'Zogbia being monumentally shite in the middle. Could be wrong, though.
-
I we sell Milner, Roeder is possibly the thickest mkanager we've ever had.
-
Can't believe it's got to the stage where i'm actually saying this - but i think i'd probably take Viduka.

Where will we finish? 10th. Will Roeder still be our manager in January? Yes. Which of our younger/fringe players (if any) will make a name for himself this season and why? Paul Huntington - because our centre-backs will continue to disappoint. Will Dyer play more than 5 games for us this season? Maybe 6. Will Shola score more goals than he did last season? I suppose he'll have to. Will we get to see the real Albert Luque or will he continue to disappoint? Nope - because he won't play. Who will be the star of our defence ('keeper included)? Really any need to answer that? And midfield? Parker. And up front? Who knows. How many new players will we sign before the close of this transfer window? Maybe 2 more. A striker and a midfielder. And how many will leave? No one else. How many times will "Shearer-Shearer" be chanted this season? Lots. Who will flop for us this season? Duff. Who will outshine all others? Parker. Will Owen make an appearance before the season is over? Nope. Will an attendance drop below the 50,000 mark for a league game for the first time since SJP was rebuilt? No way. Will we go the season without any off-field dramas/headlines of the name through mud variety? Yeah right. Will we win something this year? Yeah right. How far in all the cups, then? 3rd Round of Carling Cup. Latter stages of FA Cup. Latter stages of UEFA. Nicky Butt - will he win you over? No. Will we miss Shearer this season? Abso-bloody-lutely. Are you excited about the new season? Not any more.

Champions: Chelsea 2nd 3rd 4th: Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United Where will we finish: 6th Relegation: Charlton, Sheffield United, Watford Top scorer: Thierry Henry

Give him the season, there's no reason to judge him after such a short space of time. I don't think i can remember Sir Bobby ever having a good start to a campaign, and yet he took us well up there later in the season.

Champions - Chelsea Runners-Up - Arsenal Champions League - Liverpool, Manchester United UEFA Cup - Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United Relegated - Wigan Athletic, Sheffield United, Watford

How in God's name did i forget Wembley? :? Doesn't mean to say the Olympic (village, might i add) wouldn't come into use. And yeah - seeing as it's hosted England games, the Stadium of Plight would probably be used. Went there for the Turkey game a couple of years back, and it wasn't bad in all honesty. But we'll just say the majority of the crowd were Geordies, as we know - not many Mackems go to watch games.
-
Old Trafford St James' Park Ashburton Grove City of Manchester Stadium New Anfield Olympic Stadium Certainly wouldn't let the side down in terms of stadiums that's for sure!
-
Without forgetting Boumsong and Faye!
-
Aye, go for the fourth choice striker at a club who finished two places below us last season. Masterplan. Not.
-
Luque is clearly in the bad books for a reason. I suspect he's been less than commited to Newcastle for a while. Would you take such a risk? He's more of an attacker than fecking Bramble!
-
Ditto to Midds17 aswell. Stop being so negative people. Roeder has done amazing. To be saying crap like "Roeder Out", with malice after a draw (we didn't even lose  ) is just stupid. We've done amazing this last quarter of the season. We were in a fecking relegation battle in February!

It's as good as over. Blackburn are a point behind us with 2 games in hand. I'm being pedantic, but that's Bolton. We're level on points with Blackburn and they've got one game in hand. Crantonscracker is one of few talking sense here.
