Atleast i won't have to put up with that fucking constant, absolutely rotten, trumpet for 90 minutes. That Albania game was God awful. Constant humming bellow from this trumpet. No tune or nowt, just a noise. What's the fucking point?
-
Would be absolutely pathetic to boo him.

pretty sure you will get a refund for that shirt Says on the site, where you buy the shirt that you 'buy personalised shirts at your own risk' or something. So i dunno.
-
Hmm. Un-afraid to say that those comments backfired monumentally so.
-
Take Smith out for Wes Brown and nudge King into DM.
-
He's Sven MkII tbh. Don't know what the FA were expecting by appointing him tbh. His methods are virtually identical, just a bit worse.

Sky Sports website is notoriously poor at its accuracy on stories and is totally different to Sky Sports News. "Hitzfeld in Toon Talks" was a vintage Sky Sports website blooper. Dunno, i know i got the shit absolutely ripped out of me, but i still think he went to Newcastle, and turned us down. *Tin hat*

Aye, King infront of the back four. Nicky Shorey to start ahead of Wayne Bridge aswell. Nicky Shorey man.
-
Why do you think that? He doesn't.
-
Wanted to watch it tbh. Won't be able to though. Gerrard and Lampard back in the middle - one of England's worstest combinations in the history of football, sport, and life in general. But not only that - but he's brought Beckham back alongside them!

I agree with you totally on that. However, its a great ask and a massive gamble. The gamble is lessened by the fact that we've just added £7-8m to the transfer kitty anyhow, and he's still young. If we don't jump on him from the off, and let Allardyce 'work his magic', i reckon he'll do well for us.
-
Yep yep. I can see Barton becoming a better-Bowyer, rather than a better-Parker.
-
You won't change my opinion, Tmonkey. If he came here he wouldn't last.
-
Control him? hows that? with Diouf Sam did'nt control him he just let him do all sorts of shite and kept him at the club, he did'nt really chyange they way he went on.. Made him a fucking good player n'all.
-
I hope West Ham go down tbh. If they're gonna spend such enormous fees on such average nothingness, then they deserve nowt.
-
Aye, probably. If the sources are accurate, i can imagine it'll be a "Thanks for the offer, i'll go and mull over it while i'm on holiday..." sort of scenario. Still confident we'll get him, though.

Not going to argue about the "off in two seasons" comment, although I disagree with it, but why wouldnt he do much here? I know youve always had a dislike for him, but come off it man, hes proven without a doubt that hes a good forward with a class all round game. Hes shown he can play very well in different teams at different standards with different styles of play in the Premiership - slick passing of Arsenal, defensive Liverpool (briefly), lower mid table strugglers Man City, and now "long ball" Bolton. Hed be a quality signing for us and someone who would most likely be more than happy to work with Allardyce again. Not doubting his quality. He's an excellent player. But he's never been a serial goalscorer, and he would be off within two seasons (at the very most), and that - for me - would equate to 'not much'. And why you disagree with it, i just don't know. He's never stayed anywhere very long. He was at Arsenal for like two seasons. Then Madrid bought him for something daft like £22m. He played about 30 games for them, then was off again. Went back to PSG for a season, went to Liverpool for a season. Was at Fenerbahce for a couple of seasons (he claimed to be 'bored'), and now is allegedly unhappy at Bolton after a season. The only team he's been at for a prolonged period of time is City, and that was only for two and a half seasons. Like i've said previously - he's a quality player (not much of a goalscorer), there's no doubt about that. But we'd have to pay a huge fee for him, pay him huge wages, put up with his attitude, then watch him walk out the door in a huff when we're not winning the league. Not for me, ta.

I'd be happy with Barton. I think he'd do well under a good man-manager, and at a club where the fans aren't constantly on his back (not slating Man City fans here, he probably deserved the stick, but if he's coming here then it's a clean slate and we should be on his side).
-
Aye. Shit player. We're actually unlucky to have him.
-
He'd do well there. He wouldn't do much here and would be off within two seasons.
-
is he an excellent signing when you consider he's on big wages, his biggest ever job has been Boro and we have a billionaire owner? Yep. Excellent player.
